"What do you mean?!" Lauryn asks, snapping her head around to try and find the owner of the voice.

"Oh, it's quite simple," the voice responds laughing. "But all shall be revealed in due time."

"No!" Lauryn protests. "Tell me!"

The voice only fades with a laugh.

~~~
Lauryn shakes her head, clearing her vision of the spectrum of colors. Now, all she sees is black. She can barely make out the outline of one of her friends.
"You have to leave." A voice calls out. It's one that Lauryn has never heard.
"What?!" She sputters.
"Equestria is going to go to ruins and there's nothing you can do to stop it."
"No! There has to be a way!"
"But there isn't. Now please, just leave before they kill you too."
"Who's they?!"
"QUIT ASKING QUESTIONS AND GET OUT OF HERE!" The voice is crying. "Your pendants have one last use before they lose all of their power for good."
"We can't just leave." A new voice speaks up. Qber.
"If you die here... you'll die in your world. And your death is inevitable. Now please... just leave this place and never come back."
"No." Qber's voice is firm.
"Your friends have already done so."
"They wouldn't leave us like that!" Lauryn cries.
"I assured them that you would be back soon."
Lauryn takes a shaky breath and looks down at her pendant. The infinity sign is barely glowing. "Fine."
"Lauryn! Are you crazy?!" Qber asks.
"No. I know what we need to do. Just trust this person Qber." Lauryn says calmly.
Qber sighs. "Alright."
"Thank you... it's okay. We'll all be fine. You'll be fine too."
And that's the last that they all ever saw of Equestria.
Skelly's POV
~^~•~^~
My pendant isn't glowing anymore.
That voice was right, it's just a piece of metal now. A pretty piece of jewelry, but completely useless.
Bambi hops up on my bed and lays on my legs, looking at me with big brown eyes. I swear, she's plotting my death, but she knows when I need comforting.
I hadn't received any kind of message from Lauryn for the last four hours. I know that time passes faster in Equestria, but four hours is still a long time.
What did I do back there? I was a bitch, and even though it wasn't me, I still feel terrible. How could I say that to my best internet friends of almost two years? I remember everything. There was this thing... pushing me back to the depths of my mind where I had no control.
My breath hitches as I realize what had happened. This pendant needs to be burned. I fling it to the corner of my room where my trash can is, remembering to cast it in the fire pit later. It might be a superstition, but I can never be too careful.
After a while of wandering throughout my house, I can confirm that I'm home alone. Perfect. I make my way down the stairs to the computer and log in. The Skype icon has an orange bubble in the corner, telling me that I have notifications. Knowing these people, it's a lot.
"I haven't heard from Lauryn yet," I say without a greeting once I'm in the call.
"Skelly?!" Keara's voice comes out with a bit of static.
"Yeah."
"That was the worst." I hear Riley's voice next.
"It wasn't that bad..." Nick says. I want to chide him for joking, but his tone is dead serious.
"You weren't trapped in your own mind!" Ashey yells into her microphone. She must have had the same thought process as I did.
"I burned my pendant." I say.
"Why?!" Keara asks.
"It possessed me."
"You're being superstitious." Skillets says.
"Maybe," I retort.
Keara sighs. "Qber isn't back yet either."
"I trusted it!" I suddenly yell, slamming my fist on the desk.
"Skelly calm down!" Nick says.
"The voice says they would be back! It promised, it promised!" Maybe I'm overreacting, but I don't care.
"They'll come back!" Riley reassures.
It's as if she had made it happen. At that moment, a text from Lauryn appears on my phone. I almost break down crying.
The message only reads three words: Equestria is gone.
