scaramouche side-eyed you and shook his head as his thumbs moved rapidly on the controls, smashing the buttons rapidly. recently, he had been playing a lot of fighting games that childe had offered him. you didn't really like them, they were very violent, but your boyfriend was a mean person in general so-
"you want anything?" you asked, stuffing a cookie into your mouth as he once again shook his head. you nodded and headed back into your room.

"hey kaeya can you update me on that investigation on scaramouche?" diluc asked, clicking away on his computer inside the police headquarters as he adjusted his mic to his mouth, speaking to kaeya, who was tasked to investigate a young man named scaramouche for a murder.
kaeya, who parked his car outside you and scaramouche's house cut off his engine and looked up at your house. the lights were on on the top floor, where scaramouche was. kaeya clicked on his microphone attached to his earphone and nodded. "i just pulled up to the house right now, i'll see what i can pick up."
kaeya plugged in a few wires into a system device, and the device connected to scaramouche's gaming headphones, picking up everything he would say. kaeya pressed a few buttons and flipped a switch in his car, enabling him to listen in on what scaramouche would be saying through the his microphone.
scaramouche chuckled when his teammates asked if he had killed the enemy for yesterdays' event match. "yeah i killed him, i did kill him."
kaeya, who had picked up what he had said, chuckled and switched his microphone back to diluc. "did you get that?"
diluc, who smirked, typed a few things into the report back in headquarters. "the idiot is telling on himself. how stupid."
kaeya laughed and unbuckled his seatbelt, ready to open the door. "pft, this would be such an easy one. i'm just gonna go in now-"
"yeah i chopped his legs off, and then he didn't die."
kaeya froze in his place, hand on the handle of the door. scaramouche then continued to speak.
