"this is the spot?" diluc asked.
"yes indeed," jean replied, clutching her sword in hand. she had heard about a wailing ghost near the shores of the beaches in mondstadt, and had asked diluc to come take a look. she wasn't all that scared that a ghost, supposedly a ghost, was roaming around mondstadt, but having diluc by her side made her worry less. "just around the perimeter."
diluc's eyes flung around the wide spread area of moist and dry sand. the waves were brushing back and fourth against the shoreline, and it had a fuzzy feeling to it. the evening was cool, and there wasn't a single soul to be seen.
had it not have been jean who told him about the ghost, he wouldn't have believed in it.
"how about you return back to mondstadt and let me deal with this?" diluc asked, and jean looked at him with a slight worry in her soft eyes. diluc knew she had a lot on her plate, and he would rather she return back to mondstadt instead of spending her time here which probably wouldn't have benefited her in any way.
jean hesitated. "are you sure you have this under control?"
he nodded. "hm."
jean sighed. she worried about him a lot as she always knew he got himself into a lot of danger just to take care of threats around mondstadt. once, he came back with injuries bounded from head to toe, which scared her so badly that she had to ban him from ever leaving mondstadt for a week.
