kazuha was always there for you.
it really didn't matter how dangerous you were, or just how messed up you were. he was there for you. not in the... romantic way like you had thought, but more of a... 'i will protect you despite what others say about you' kinda way.
he ignored the snide remarks from others when they saw you two together; he ignored all the ignorant rants from others about you. what others said about you affected you, but it did not affect him. in other words, he cared more about helping you than comforting you.
he was a sweet soul, you knew that. the way he bandaged you when you had scraped your knee badly. his fingers were agile, and his gentle red eyes hushed your crying. you knew it then, he was to be your protector and your life. again, not in a romantic way, you assumed he just protected you because he saw how the others were mistreating you.
why did they mistreat you?
because you were dangerous. you were too powerful, and you were totally uncontrollable. fear was what fumed your flames, and the moment something scared you, the whole city would be on fire.
and unfortunately for everyone in teyvat, you were scared of everything.
"kazuha?" you knocked on his door, shaking away the thoughts. you had been daydreaming again. the joy of going outside into the world flooded in and out of your mind. you wanted to visit mondstadt and take a swim in fontaine's beautiful seas; but kazuha didn't let you, and when kazuha doesn't allow you to do something, you followed.
