Down The Manhole {TMNT fanfic}

Chapter 3

Darby's POV

"What the heck is a communication orb?!" I yell as the white orb thing lights up with pink dot patterns.

"It's something from the Kraang we found. They use it to communicate with each other. April found it, and now we can use it to listen in on their plans." Leo explains and I nod in understanding. Donnie sits down at a computer as a robot language wafts out from the orb. He types something into the computer and the weird robot language turns into English. 

Kraang...it is now time for what is known as the invasion. Kraang shall now take over what is known as Earth for Kraang. The invasion begins tomorrow. Kraang will prepare for the invasion of what is known as Earth tonight.

"Well...that's not good." Raph says and we're all speechless.

"I'll go get Master Splinter!" April says and runs out of Donnie's lab.

"Guys, we gotta do something! Earth is gonna be invaded tomorrow!" Mikey screamed and started running around Donnie's lab in circles until Raph slapped him.

"Mikey, chill. Earth isn't gonna be invaded. We're gonna stop Kraang once and for all." Leo said and Raph snorted.

"And how do you plan on doing that, fearless leader?" Raph says sarcastically and Leo glares at him.

"I don't know, but I'll figure it out." Leo responds and Raph rolls his eyes. 

"Oh yeah, cause ya always figure out a plan that works." Raph says and I can see Leo losing his temper. Donnie and Mikey nervously back away from the two ninjas, knowing what's about to happen. 

"Look, I'm the leader, so you need to trust me and listen to my plans. Maybe you always ignoring my orders is the reason my plans fail!" Leo shouts and Raph turns as red as his mask.

"Maybe if you didn't make terrible plans, they would work!" Raph shouts and I decide to intervene, seeing their fight becoming serious. 

"Guys, stop! Arguing isn't gonna solve this!" I say, running in between them. Leo pushes me behind him as Raph glares at me.

"True, but maybe my fist will." Raph says. He raises his fist and goes to punch Leo, but Leo uses his ninja instincts and dodges his fist. Lucky for me, I'm not a ninja and I didn't dodge Raph's fist. I feel a burst of pain on the left side of my jaw, and I cry out in pain when Raph's fist connects with my face. I fall onto the ground, clutching my jaw.

I look up at Raph, my eyes blurred with tears.

"Oh my gosh, Raph!" Leo yells as he helps me up and hugs me tightly. As I bury my face into Leo's plastron, I can't stop the tears threatening to fall. The room is silent except for the sounds of my sobbing. Leo starts rubbing my back and I sob harder, knowing the guys are seeing me like this.

"I-I'm sorry. Ophelia I didn't mean-" Raph says but he's cut off by Mikey.

"Well, you did it. Whether you meant it or not." Mikey spits out with hatred in his voice.

"Ophelia, I-" Raph walks toward me and reaches his hand out, but I slap it away.

"Don't. Touch. Me." I snarl and run out of the lair. I go topside and start running, but I can't see where I'm going thanks to all the tears in my eyes. I keep running but I ram into someone in no time. I wipe my eyes and look at the man.

"Oh, I'm-" I start to apologize but then realize I didn't run into a man, I ran into a robot.

The robot starts speaking and I freeze in horror when I hear its voice.

"It is the one known as Ophelia, also known as friend to April O'Neil and the ones called the turtles. Kraang will take her back to their lab for experiments." 

I try to run but three of the robots grab me and tie me up. One puts duct tape over my mouth and I'm thrown into the back of a van. As the doors are shut, one thought swims through my head.

'Well, getting punched by Raph doesn't seem so bad now.'
