Daryl's POV
We had been on the road for months, trying to reach Fort Benning. Shane said we were getting closer, but I was starting to doubt the guy. It was taking us a lot longer than we originally planned, since we couldn't take any of the main roads and Elena was now five months pregnant.

According to the map we were just outside of Columbus, about ten miles from Fort Benning. We were camping in a clearing that we'd found in the forest, sitting around the fire. Alex was sitting a lot closer to Carl then I would have liked and it was starting to get on my nerves.

"Calm down," whispered Ciara in my ear. I turned to see her grinning at me. "They're kids, let them have some fun."

I grunted and went back to eating the deer that Kaelyn and I had caught, the girl was surprisingly good at hunting. "She's my daughter, what do you expect?"

Ciara kissed the corner of my mouth. "I like it when you say that."

"That she's my daughter?"

"Ya," she smirked. "You know, she could be our daughter."

I looked at my hands. "You know I'm not good with that shit Ciara," I grunted.

"I shouldn't have said anything." she spat and looked away.

"Ciara," I said grabbing her hands. "You know I love you."

"Then why don't you want to be married?"

I took one of my hands back and ran I over my face. "I've never been on to have relationships, let alone be married to someone. I guess I'm just nervous."

Ciara leaned her head on my shoulder and sighed. "I get it Dare, I shouldn't force it on you."

I kissed her head, "Love you."

Her lips kissed my neck, "Love you too."

A twig snapped in the bushes and we all jumped up. "What was that?" Glenn asked.

Rick shook his head and pointed his gun at a man and woman that came out of the bushes. "Hey, we don't want any trouble!" The man said, placing his AK47 on the ground.

"Who are you?" Shane asked, shotgun raised at the couple.

"Names Sargent Abraham Ford and this is my girlfriend, Rosita Espinosa." Abraham replied calmly.

He had short trimmed red hair, muscle shirt, and cargo pants. It looked like he was part of the military or something. Rosita wore a tied shirt, short shorts, combat boots, and a baseball cap. "You part of the military or somethin?" Merle asked.

Abraham nodded. "Ya, Fort Benning, we come out looking for survivors on occasions."

Shane lowered his gun. "Fort Benning?"

"Yup," he nodded.

"It's safe there?" Asked Martinez.

Rosita shook her head. "It's got walls and military guarding the gates. We got around 200 survivors there, women and children too. All of you can come back with us, it looks like you've been on the road for a while."

Everyone looked at Rick as he decided what to do. "How far is it?"

"About 5 miles south of here." Abraham replied.

Rick nodded. "Lets go then."

"We'll let you get you're stuff and then we can head out."

I grabbed Ciara's hand and pulled her to the tent we shared with Alex. "What do you think about this Dare?" She asked me.
