"Jeongguk won't get back until later since he's with the team probably cleaning up and celebrating." Jungkook said plainly as he pushed open the door to his and his brother's shared penthouse.

Taehyung nodded, walking on inside. Like anyone would, his eyes scanned the interior of the penthouse, seeing the nice basic colors that were so aesthetic and clean.

The reason Taehyung was with Jungkook was because there was no way he was going to go to the motel and bother Jimin right after he admitted to sleeping with his ex.

Jungkook didn't want to originally but he decided against it and offered Taehyung a night at the penthouse.

He knew Jeongguk was going to flip his shit once he realized Taehyung was at the comforts of their home but Jungkook would deal with that when the time arrived.

All that mattered was making sure Taehyung could take a shower and put on some new clothes.

Then there was an awkward silence, Jungkook nor Taehyung having a clear idea on what should be said next or who should speak first.

It only became more awkward as they stood there so Jungkook parted his thin lips. "Um, the bathroom is upstairs, second door on the left."

"Okay . . . Thank you." Taehyung offered a weak smile, nodding to Jungkook who just walked away from him.

"I'll grab you clothes and drop them off up there. Do you want a drink or something to eat?" The younger wondered as he walked closer to the kitchen, scratching the side of his neck. The tension was so unbearable.

Taehyung watched Jungkook spare a look back, waiting for an answer. "No, I'm good but thanks. I think I'm just going to take a quick shower and . . . Try to stay out of the way." He said.

Then, nothing more was said and the two went their ways. Jungkook felt bad and wished he could say more to help the elder but his throat would clamp up and his mind would spin with insults of the plenty.

Jungkook knew he was being a dick to Taehyung by having double-meaning to his words and by being a bitter person, he knew Taehyung wanted to better himself, to show just how sorry he was and do right to the ones he did wrong.

But he was hurting at the same time and it was a race on if good or bad would come out of his mouth.

It wasn't too much longer after Jungkook dropped off clothes for Taehyung to wear that he heard the door being unlocked.

He wasn't prepared for this but he would just deal with the petty insults that would be thrown his way if any.

Jeongguk walked in, closing the door behind him. He turned back, seeing his brother chilling on the sofa with the TV remote in his hand.

He was about to speak but heard the running water from upstairs, cocking a brow. "Why are you running water? You don't pay the bills." He scolded.

Jungkook looked over at the door, keeping a calm face. "I know, I'm not running the water." He said with a shrug.

"Who's in the shower then?" Jeongguk set his bag down by the door, wearing a frown. "You bring someone home from the game?" He showed a bit of surprise.

"You know I'm not like that." Jungkook rolled his eyes, shaking his head.

"Then who's in the shower?" Jeongguk wondered, walking over to the couch and taking a seat. Jungkook kept his eyes locked on his brother, waiting for him to make the realization.

Jeongguk took a second and the anger settled in, huffing. "You better be kidding, Kook."

"No, I'm not. He told Jimin and I just fail to see Jimin wanting to see him immediately so I invited him over here just for tonight." Jungkook shrugged, looking away.
