"So, not only do I wake up with a splitting headache but I find out that Namjoon dropped my breakfast as well on the way up here?" Jeongguk repeated, a towel hanging over his shoulders, his exposed chest blessing everyone.

He had just finished his peaceful shower to be disappointed.

"To be fair," Namjoon began. "Not all of it fell on the floor. You can have the top bagel of your sandwich?"

"I think I'll pass." Jeongguk sighed, picking up his shirt and slipping it on after tossing the towel on the floor. "I'll go get myself a coffee and hope for the best."

"You can have my food," Jungkook said. "I had a few bites but you can have the rest of it." He was trying to be a good brother and offer what he had.

"Thank you, Kook, but again, I'll just go get myself some coffee. I'm not really hungry anyways so . . ." The slightly older twin remarked, pulling on his socks and shoes. "I'll be back before we have to leave again." He added.

Jeongguk let them chat away, not listening to what they had to say. He exited the motel room, making sure to grab his jacket before leaving completely.

The twin walked alone, a lingering pain scanning every cranny of his head and making its appearance whenever Jeongguk had forgotten about it.

He honestly just wanted the fresh Daegu air to fulfill his lungs. He felt exhausted and ill but he wasn't going to announce that to the group. He knew he was ruining their trip enough by chugging alcohol so he decided against telling them he wasn't feeling too hot.

He kicked a rock on the ground, watching it tumble over to a small gift shop. Jeongguk went to kick it again but took a glance up at the shop the rock stopped ahead of.

His lips parted. Maybe he could find a cute stoned bunny for Jungkook. The said twin had this ugly rabbit collection but that didn't mean Jeongguk would miss his opportunity of getting his identical twin brother something. Maybe this gift shop would have some sort of bunny worthy enough of shelving with his other bunnies.

With those thoughts, Jeongguk pushed the door opened and walked in. Clearly the shop was empty and not very popular.

His eyes raked over the cute antiques and jewelry, scanning stuffed animals. He walked down the small isles of the shop, finding himself in the back where he saw multiple paintings that withheld beautiful brush strokes.

There was only seven paintings but each held a different story. One was in a bus, a man playing with a hair tie while he looked out the bus window. Another took place at a train stop. A man was holding a red book.

Jeongguk could see the other paintings, one with a piano, another at a corner store, one in a hospital, the other with a man holding an umbrella in the rain, and then the last of a little boy with his eyes covered in front of carousel. He could feel the emotion of each and every last one.

The pro-athlete wasn't much for art but he could appreciate a good piece when he saw one. However, he wasn't here for the paintings nor did he actually want one.

He returned to looking until he eventually found a rustic-looking rabbit that had a carrot in its little paws. Jeongguk picked it up. It was roughly the size of his palm, just a tad bit smaller. It looked old and like it had small tints of colors lining it but faded over time.

"Perfect," Jeongguk breathed to himself. Jungkook didn't have any type of woodland creature that looked like this one so he must accept it.

After Jeongguk made his final decision, he strolled up to the counter, placing the little statue down, pulling out his wallet that miraculously were in his sweats.

He looked up to see no one, frowning. He hated shops like this who only managed to have one worker who liked to daze around.

Luckily for Jeongguk, there was a bell. He tapped it a few times, the small clinks ringing out. "Excuse me? I would like to buy something. I'm not really running on a lot of time here so if you could-"

He was cut off by a man walking from the back, using a paper towel to wipe off his hands. Jeongguk found not only his words but his breath snatched away from him. He couldn't describe how tight his chest became when his eyes locked with very familiar ones.

"Is this all?" Taehyung asked, picking up the rabbit and scanning it. "Anything else you want?"

Jeongguk quickly averted his gaze downward, clearing his throat. "No." He said in rasp.

Taehyung let out a breathy snicker. "You sure, Jeonggukie?"

"Shut up." Jeongguk snarled. "Register the stupid fucking thing and tell me how much it is."

"Harsh, aren't you?" Taehyung hummed, placing the figure in a cute pastel yellow baggie, placing a small bit of tissue paper right on top to finish the gift bag. "I don't get a 'how are you'?"

"I said to shut the fuck up." Jeongguk snatched the bag and threw down a ten. "I don't give a fuck how much it is, you'll accept that." He didn't meet Taehyung's eyes, he couldn't.

Taehyung hummed. "I get a tip for my good services? It's only four bucks if you want the other six back. You don't seemed too pleased."

"Because your bitch ass keeps fucking speaking!" Jeongguk yelled, eyes finally turning up to glare right into Taehyung's, burning holes of hatred. "Keep it, stop fucking talking or I'll break your fucking nose, Kim! I'll do it right the fuck here in your cheap ass gift shop!"

Taehyung threw his hands up on defense, a small innocent smile lingering his lips. "I've done nothing, 'Jeon', so you can stop with that tone. I'm running my 'cheap gift shop', not doing much."

"Whatever. You've done enough." Jeongguk spat venomously. He turned away and began to walk for the exit but Taehyung decided to speak once more.

"Go ahead and tell Kookie hi for me. And the rest of the group. I saw Yoongi and Hoseok hyung yesterday but they also weren't too happy with my appearance." Taehyung sounded too happy for this and it was killing Jeongguk.

The aforementioned came to a halt, letting out a deep breath. He had a list of things that he wanted to say yet he would lose his shit if he decided to. He shook his head and pushed out the door, walking back to the motel immediately.

His heart was thumping. That's all he could hear; his heart in his ears. He couldn't even breathe because of how focused he was on his quicken heartbeat. Everything seemed so blurry to him but maybe that was because of his swelling tears. He let out a broken cry, quickly bringing his rough hands to his eyes. "Don't you dare cry." He kept telling himself. He felt so weak, so distraught. He was so angered with the thought that he let himself get so far low over seeing Taehyung just one time.

Jeongguk sniffled, trying so very hard to hold in every tear and sob his body pleaded to release, not wanting to let go or break down here. He couldn't do it publicly.

He wasn't someone who liked to cry because of how vulnerable it made him feel inside. He hated every ounce of his emotions right now, just wanting to get to his brother to tell him who he saw.

One thing that Jeongguk was dreading was facing the rest of the group. They never seen Jeongguk cry and he liked it that way but he just needed his brother by his side. He just needed Jungkook to tell him it would all be okay and he would be fine. Jeongguk just wanted his twin to hug him and keep him close.
