Part four
Kira dragged her feet through the burning sand. The sun beat down on their backs, making everyone sweat like crazy. Jade groaned.
"More water please." She said to Zay. Zay sighed, and opened up the water container she was carrying. After walking in the desert for hours, they had less and less water. Jay, who was leaning on Zay's shoulder dropped to her knees.
"We're out of water." She cried softly. Sure enough, not a single drop fell from the water containers. Kira blinked.
"Do you feel any water somewhere close? Isn't there water in the air we can drink?" Kira asked, sitting down as well. Jay placed a hand on the sand dunes, and squeezed her eyes shut. Jay shook her head.
"Very little traces of water in the air, you wouldn't want to drink it anyway, and I can feel cactus juice about a mile in that direction. But you don't want to drink that either." Jay pointed to the left. Jade sighed, and sat down as well.
"Do we just die here now?" Jade asked quietly. Kira looked at her in horror.
"Oh no you don't! You three are not leaving me alone in the middle of the desert for all eternity. Uh uh. There must be some way I can lift the sand. Sand is just really tiny rocks, right?" Kira placed her own hands ontop of the sand. She slowly wrapped her mental energy around it, and began to pull. The ground started shaking. The sand split, creating a path way. Kira pushed her arms out, forcing the extra sand away. Jade stood up.
"Do we just walk through here, and hope it gets us somewhere?" She asked. Kira shrugged.
"Does anyone have any better ideas?" When no one argued, they set off walking. Walking through the split sand. The sand began to pick up.
"Great! Because another sandstorm is exactly what we need right now!" Jade yelled over the rising winds. Kira pointed.
"Look! I see a sky ship in the distance! We're saved!" Kira began waving her arms like a maniac. The sky ship landed a few yards away, and sure enough it was their sky ship. A figure dressed in all black stepped out. You couldn't see their face underneath all of the thick cloth. They dragged out several other figures. Each of them were bonded, and cursing.
"Here. These are the people who took your ship. Do what you want with them." The figure in all black said, their voice muffled and manipulated. Jade glared at them.
"Un tie them, temporarily paralyze em, and leave them in the desert the same way they left us." Jade suggested. Kira was about to say something, but Jay agreed, and Zay was rushing inside the sky ship, treating it like it was her lost puppie. Kira just went with it. The figure sat down.
"Where to? And don't worry. I won't ask anymore questions." Their eyes flickered.
"Uh, Irinals capital please." Kira said awkwardly. Zay was full on hugging the walls. She opened up the compartment with the huge guns.
"Thank the universe these are ok!" Zay tossed a gun to Kira, who shuttered.
"Oh goody! The giant guns are still here." Kira mumbled sarcastically. Jade leaned back.
"I never thought I could miss a large piece of metal and glass." Jade sighed, watching the sand kick up as they took off, leaving the people who stole the sky ship in the middle of the desert. The desert truly was beautiful, as long as you weren't stuck inside of it.
"Do we know you from somewhere? You seem familiar." Kira suddenly said. There was something strange about this person, Kira could almost swear she knew them from somewhere... but where? The figure didn't bother looking at Kira.
