laying in my queen-sized bed
weights stacked on body
i gripped both sides of the mattress
the world stopped spinning
screaming ceased hysterics
heartache paused its contractions
for a moment
the epitome of my isolation
my time of growth
overwhelmed my senses
storms filled my belly
bells echoed in my skull
mercury flooded my veins
lead compacted my lungs
and the pain began again
the wailing commenced
once againand yet i am still here
that's worth something
