As we pull into the arena, there are cars scattered everywhere making the place look jammed packed. I thought to myself how the hell are we ever going to get through to get inside with these swarms of people? I was not in a waiting for hours kind of mood just to enter into this place. I asked Dak what we were going to do and added to the question, wondering if it's always this busy. Before I even had the chance to finish my sentence, he interrupted saying:

"Kayl can you grab me that pass in the glove box please?"

I slowly reached for the glove box, looked carefully at the content inside to find a square pass with Dak's name on it. A VIP pass why am I not surprised? I rolled my eyes hoping he didn't see me, which he didn't because he was too worried about handing the pass to the security man directing traffic ahead. He slowly rolls down the window, shows the man the pass not not even a minute later we were on our way to a parking lot super close to the arena. The two exchange to quick conversation, with the man adding "Ah Dak! Enjoy the game and good luck tomorrow!"
Dak just smiled and gave a quick thank you and we were on our way.

As soon as we reach the parking spot we gather our belongings and headed into the arena. Before I can even open the door, Dak is already at my side opening the door for me. What a gentleman. Lol. I give him a quick smile and we proceed to walk in. He grabs my hand as we near the door. I could really get used to this.

We enter through the VIP door, which caused us not to be around so many people, so to get in was pretty quick. On the other hand walking through the other doors it was like a complete zoo. Drunk people everywhere, arrogant people shoving into others, Long lines for the concession stands, it's insane. I look up at Dak to see him viewing my concerned face and just shook his head laughing. It was so loud I barely was able to hear him talk.

"If you think this is bad, try being at our stadium tomorrow. It's 10 times the amount of people and craziness too." Dak said.

"Oh lovely news to hear. Maybe I'll pass on tomorrow's game then" I say tickling his stomach jokingly.

He laughs as we head towards the seats.

As we approach the steps I'm assuming since he has a pass, the seats have to be pretty decent. Definitely the first 20 rows at least he should have. We walked hand in hand still down the stairs not knowing where we would end up. At this point we have passed rows 20 through 6 and haven't sat in any. My stomach slowly catches a pit in it as we hit the floor. I should've known. Fucking floor seats. We are court-side right now. I feel like this isn't real. This man seriously lives the life. I feel as if everything gets handed to him and that's just not how I am. This is surely an adjustment for me. I hope he knows. I don't think he does.

We find our seats and we take a seat. Dak is standing looking around the arena. I am still freaking out knowing I'm this close to the court. What if I get hit with a ball? I'll be pissed. He throws his arm around me seeming very relaxed. Must be nice.

"So what do ya think?" Dak adds squishing my shoulder his hand is resting on.

"This is definitely something" I add shortly. I seem to have lost all words. I'm not too sure what else to say to him.

"Are you ok? Do you not like it.?" He adds.

"No I'm okay. This is just something. I've never done anything like this before. I'm just speechless. This is an unreal view." I say.

He just smiles at me, turning to watch the Mavs warm up. He looks like a little boy in a candy shop right now. So cute.

I try to brighten the mood since he thought I was down by adding in a question.

"So what are the chances of getting hit in the head with a basketball?" I add being 100% serious because I'm actually concerned.

He looks at me laughing hysterical pulling me closer into his arms. Mhmmm he smells realllllly good.
