mickey grady's point of view

Mickey was never really a fan of parties but she complied in order to please her friend, Ali, who had been begging for her to come for weeks. So here she was, sitting on a beach in a red bikini, dog tags hanging on her neck, surrounded by her friends or more accurately acquaintances and absentmindedly staring at Ali's radio as it played music.

She was soon distracted when a gaggle of boys came rushing over, kicking around a soccer ball, causing sand to fly in her direction. Mickey moved her gaze to the people playing and watched as they fought over the ball.

Her eyes landed on one boy in particular. He had dark, fluffy hair and brown eyes that were accentuated by his tan skin. He was very attractive, she must admit, but that didn't mean he wasn't a complete tool. She looked on in curiosity and his eyes met hers.

He stopped participating in the struggle for the ball, though neither Mickey nor the boy noticed. They kept staring at each other before ball was kicked into the huddle of girls. One of the girls caught it and tossed it to Mickey, who in turn passed it the brown haired boy.

He caught it on his knee and started bouncing the ball up and down in an attempt to impress the girl with whom he had been so engrossed by for the past few seconds. He didn't even notice when all the other girls started to walk down to the shoreline.

Eventually, one of the other players that Mickey recognized as Freddy Fernandez knocked the ball away from the tanned boy and caused him to refocus on the game he had previously been playing.

He lagged behind and looked down at Mickey as she got up and slowly followed the path that her friends had taken. He looked at the girl and waved slightly, "Bye."

She smiled in response, so he started to leave to rejoin the group he had been playing soccer with before. He jogged a little ways before turning and facing backwards as he glanced again at the female that had interested him so much.

daniel larusso's point of view

Daniel ran along side his new found friend. He turned to Freddy and asked, "Who's the blonde in the red?"

Now Freddy didn't know which girl he was referring to but with the way he gestured to now empty towel sitting on the ground, Freddy knew that it didn't matter that much which girl he was curious about. In his opinion, all of them were basically the same. So he responded with, "The Hills."

Daniel furrowed his brows at the unfamiliar title and questioned, "The Hills? What's the Hills?"

"It's rich," was his reply and really the only reply needed to describe a lot of those girls that had previously been sitting the blanket.
