Chapter 3*******************

“Hey!” I yelled turning to the boy who had started giggling madly. “I’m so sorry!!”Said the girl as she brushed water off her skirt. When she looked up at me I was captured by her beautiful green eyes.

I sat speechless.

“My name is Klara and this is my brother Laurenz.” She said finally, never breaking our gaze. When I didn’t answer she blushed, “you have water in your hair.” She then reached her hand up and ran it through my hair, sending water drops onto the shoulders of my cloak.

I sat speechless.

“I live down by the river, house 221, if you want to visit me sometime……” she said, prompting me to say my name. Finally the words found me “Silas.” I managed to get out. “Silas.” she repeated, picking up her water buckets. And with a wink she disappeared down the crowded street.

I quickly put my hood on and ran to catch up with Celia and father. I caught them right as they were about to enter the town hall. “So, who is she?” Celia said elbowing me, with a smile on her face. “I…. I don’t know what you’re talking about.” I said blushing again and turning away from her. “I hope you remembered that I can feel what you feel, so you can’t lie to me.” She said with a smirk playing on her lips. “Get lost” I mumble rolling my eyes. A guard led us inside of the elaborately decorated hallway that led to the meeting chambers. Before we entered father turned to face us “you will not speak unless asked a direct question, do you understand.” We nodded silently.

When we entered the room it was like entering a castel. Torches lined the walls and maids scurried to and fro providing tea to men in tall chairs. “At last, let the meeting begin.” Said the only woman in the chamber “now Anna, let the new faces be introduced!” said a very tall, very old man with an English accent.” These are my children Celia and Silas.” Father introduced for us. “Now may we begin the meeting, Gary?” Anna said with a huff and an eye roll. “Why, of course!” the old man named Gary said cracking a toothy grin and winking at me.

“Clause, recently you came to us with the prediction that there will be an attack on Wallgau by the wizards of the Shadow guild. Am I correct?” Anna asked “You just want to be told that your right.” Gary murmured witch gained him the death glare from Anna.

“Yes I believe so.” My father said “the Spy that I discovered bore the mark of the Shadow guild and with a quick truth charm I learned that they were planning something, but he is too low in their guild for us to learn much.”

Murmuring started between the council members. “What precautions need to be taken?” Anna asked over the noise. “We must prepare for battle, I need the town to be searched for any people that might have magic that we might have overlooked in the past, and I have a friend coming to train my children so it will be easy to train them.”

“Clause! I have seen that my children have magic in them, but will need extensive training.” “Hanns! I will have my children assist with their training.” Father answered back to a man named Hanns that was up with the council. Hanns looked amused down at me and Celia, “Your children?! I mean no offence but they seem…. How do you put it…..weak?” Hanns said with a smirk. “I’m sure that you will find them more than qualified. They will soon surpass my skill and power at the rate that they are improving.” My father answered as he placed a hand on Celia’s head and plastered on a fake smile. My face reddened with anger and I turned my face towards the ground. “Good. Hanns, lead Clause back to your house to introduce your children. For the time being I will have the people of Wallgau set up barricades and shelters to prepare. Meeting adjourned.” Anna finished with a wave and the council members began to disperse.
