It had been a moon since the attack on Thunderpaw's brother, Larchpaw, had been injured. He had fully recovered thankfully, and now there was new life in Thunderclan. Dizzywing, Snowheart and Brightheart had all had their kits. Snowheart had two she-cats Spicekit and Emeraldkit, Dizzywing had  a Eaglekit and Sweetkit, and finally Brightheart had Dustkit and Nightkit.

Thunderpaw had had her work cut out for her but she often found herself heading out into the woods to collect herbs and others as well. This is when she ran into Ravenwing who had went out to find her.

"There you are Thunderpaw!" He called out. He padded quickly over to the she-cat and touched noses with his apprentice. "You had your mother and father worried when you didn't come back a Sunhigh!"

"Sorry to have worried you, I just needed time to think." Thunderpaw looked at her mentor.

"What were you thinking about?" He questioned, a look of curiosity and worry on his face.

"Everything that has happened when me and my littermates became apprentices. I'm starting to wonder if we will ever be safe from Appledusk." She confessed, she hated feeling like this, and it was finally time she spoke to someone about how she felt.

"We will be safe, with your warrior training, you can defend yourself just fine. Appledusk will be caught and most likely killed but you don't need to worry about that right now. I promise everything is going to be okay." Ravenwing touched his nose to her forehead, as a way to comfort the shecat. "How about we head back to camp, you have a herb test you have to take."

Thunderpaw groaned when her mentor mentioned a test, but it was a good natured groan. She followed her mentor back to camp and after assuring her parents she was fine and no Appledusk did not attack her she went and to take her herb test.

Appledusk's POV

Appledusk crept through dense underbrush, heading deeper and deeper into the forest. The sounds of nature slowly grew quite, and the light began to fade.

Unwanted thoughts of past events flashed through his mind, playing over and over again. Like a broken record. Growling he slashed at the vines blocking his path. A cloud of anger  swarmed above him, trigger a burst of speed  as his impatience grew.

Mapleshade and everyone dear to her was going to pay. Appledusk was sure of that. He was going to be the one to bring her downfall. Along with the fall of her entire clan.

His running slowed as he saw the distant figure growing closer. His thoughts quitted for a moment as he sat and waited for the figure to come to him.

Wasting no time, he began to question the mysterious stranger.

"Is everything prepared?"

"Nearly." The stranger answered in a raspy, low voice.

"Perfect." Appledusk grinned psychotically.
