Thunder's Calling

Prologue

Mapleshade raised her head as the sun came up. She was in the warriors den next to her mate, Birchface. She remember the day Appledusk had raped her making her bare his kits. Thankfully, Birchface had saved her. They had become mates and she was expecting both of the toms kits. Mapleshade woke up Birchface and signaled him to follow her. They went out of camp and towards the river. Finally, Mapleshade spoke.

"How are we going to tell them?" She asked her mate.

"We will tell them the truth of what happened." He told her.

"What if they kick me out? Then me and our kits will die." She told him fearfully.

"They won't kick you out, because you didn't want to be with him. They will understand and won't harm you or our kits." He told her reassuringly.

"Ok, fine... We will tell them, but you get to tell you father."

"Dear StarClan, are you trying to get me killed," He said jokingly, "Ok, I will tell him and he can tell the Clan. Don't worry I won't let Frecklewish near you if she goes hostile." 

"Ok, we best get to camp, or cats will notice us being missing"

Birchface and Mapleshade headed back to camp. Beetail was organizing patrols. Birchface licked his mate's ear and went to tell his father the news and explain what had happened. Soon Oakstar came out and called a Clan meeting. "May all cats old enough to walk, gather around High Rock for a Clan meeting." He called. Oakstar explained what had happened to Mapleshade. Some cats wanted to attack RiverClan for this but Oakstar refused, he explained that RiverClan most likely had no clue of this even happening. He told the clan that he will announce it at the next gathering.
