Thunderpaw sat in the clearing, her back was somewhat healed now. She was finally allowed to walk around, all be it slowly, but she was able to move which made her happy. She watched as her clanmates moved around, getting ready for the day's patrols. She flicked her tail in farewell as her sister and brothers left for training. She wished she could go hunting for a bit, but she physically couldn't. Sighing to herself, she walked into medicine den and over to Ravenwing for her lessons with herbs.
Hours later she was dismissed from training and was to start sorting the herbs that Ravenwing had out. As she was sorting a patrol entered the clearing, but they had her brother, Larchpaw, being carried. The scent of blood hit her nose, and she knew something was wrong. She called for Ravenwing, who quickly rushed out. Seeing that Larchpaw was injured, he rushed back in the den and grabbed the herbs they would need. As Ravenwing gathered the herbs, Thunderpaw started towards her brother, knowing she would need a head start to reach her brother to help.
When she got to her brother, she couldn't believe her eyes. He had a bad scratch on his eye and long scratches on his stomach. "W-what happened to him..." She asked, confused on what could have happened. They were supposed to be learning to hunt, not have battle training today, and even then, he shouldn't be hurt! "Appledusk happened. He came out of no where when Larchpaw had been hunting a mouse and just leapt onto him." Seedpelt explained. "He looked like he wanted to kill him, and seemed furious that he got the wrong cat."
"So... He is after me then..." Thunderpaw said, anger in her voice. "That foxheart attacked my brother just because he had been exiled for attacking me!"
"We don't have time for this Thunderpaw... We need to treat your brother before its too late." Ravenwing said, resting his tail on his apprentices shoulder. "Now tell me what we would use to treat him."
"Cobwebs to stop the bleeding, Marigold to prevent infection and Celandine to help his eyes." Thunderpaw had closed her eyes as she listed off the herbs, pulling them from memory.
"How do we use Celandine?"
"We trickle the juice from the herb into his eye."
"Good. I'll work on his stomach, you work on his head." Ravenwing ordered, and the two medicine cats set to work. Once they had finished they finished they had Seedpelt bring Larchpaw into the medicine den and lay him in the nest. A few moments later, Mapleshade and Birchface ran in and went directly to Larchpaw. They did the same thing they did with her, but reversed with Mapleshade in the nest laying behind him and Birchface crouched next to the nest.
Though she felt exhausted, she couldn't sleep. She decided that she would stay awake to keep an eye on her brother as he could very well go to StarClan from his injuries. She had been taught how to restart a heart if need be, but she hoped it wouldn't come to that.
Appledusk's POV
Tsk... I can't believe this right now. Thunderpaw should have been well enough to gather herbs by now, and instead I got that Birchface look alike. Oh well, at least I got one of the kits. It may not have been who I was looking for, but it will be good if he dies, one less cat to kill. Oh Mapleshade you will regret rejecting me, and telling the truth. Everyone you love will die at my paws, and then I will spare you so you have to live out your days with no one to love you. Might even frame you... That would be fun. I believe StarClan would premit this, you did break my heart. Thunderpaw should have been a warrior apprentice, not a weak medicine cat apprentice. All the more easier to kill her I suppose...
