Kells has been dropping by to see Casie for a while now. It's kinda weird. He's barely talked to me but him and Casie have gotten back close again. Casie would be starting school again in a week and I really needed to discuss with Kells how we would do that seeing as Casie's school was an hour away from my house.

"Mommy, daddy's taking me out to eat. Do you wanna come?" She smiled up at me.

Kells kinda looked away and rubbed the back of his neck. I could tell that maybe he was uncomfortable with the idea but he didn't say anything.

"Casie, why don't you and daddy go without me."

"No please mommy. Daddy doesn't mind. Come on please."I couldn't say no now her smile was killing me.

"Ok." I said giving in.

A few moments later we were at Chuckie Cheese. Out of all the places why here? I already know what's gonna happen. Casie will go off to play and Kells and I would be stuck at the table together.

After we ordered pizza Casie left the table to go play. There was an uncomfortable silence now.

"Kells I've been meaning to talk to you about Casie and school."

"Oh yeah. Well maybe in the mornings I'll come take her to school from your house and then afternoons you can pick her up."

"Ok I guess that will work."

3 weeks later

After 3 weeks of Casie's school arrangement we were all exhausted. This wasn't working out. I had to get Casie up at 4:00 every morning so she could be ready for school. Kells would get there around 5:30 and Casie would make it to school at 7:45 just before it started at 8. Then in the afternoons I would leave at 1:50 and get to Kells at 2:50 something just as Casie got off the bus and then drive almost an hour in a half to my house with traffic. So by the time we got home, did her homework, and ate dinner it was already time for bed.

I was walking into Kells house with Casie to tell him we had to come up with something else. As soon as I walked in I met him.

"Jane we need to talk." He said sternly.

"I was thinking the same thing. We're gonna have to come up with something else for Casie and school."

"Well I was thinking she should just come back to live with me and then see you on weekends." He said

"What?!"

"Jane it would just be easier."

"I'm not gonna do it!" Casie shouted forcing us both to look at her."I'm not gonna do it. Mommy why can't you just move back here with us?"

"Because Casie me and your dad aren't together anymore." I stated.

"But why? We have guest rooms. Mommy can just move into one of those rooms."

"She does have a point Jane."

I guess I really didn't have a choice. Moving back in was the simplest solution. Casie would have both her mom and dad in the same house.

"Ok I'll move my stuff in this weekend." I replied.

Casie ran up to hug me with the biggest smile on her face. This child. Smh
