Missed Calls and Missed Holidays

After the night in New York I was kinda pissed at Colson. He had an explanation for why he wasn't at his room but I was still mad that I drove all that way to see him and didn't get to. I had to miss most of the holiday's and I was kinda pissed about it. This would've been our first holidays as a real family. At least now I was home and I'd get to celebrate Valentine's day with them. More importantly I was never going on tour again! At least not with Paramore. The band's taking a break and I decided that was my que to get out. I told Hailey about my plans and she supported me a 150%.

I planned to tell Colson as soon as the time was right but right now I'm baking cupcakes for Casie's 2nd grade class for their v day party.

"There's my beautiful wife." Colson said wrapping his arms around me.

"Hey." I said turning around to kiss him.

"So I was thinking tonight we'd go out for Valentine's Day." He said whispering in my ear.

"Great because I have some big news to tell you."

"Really? I thought I was gonna be the only one with news to share."

I was excited to tell Jane the news. I couldn't wait to leave.

"Are you ready yet?" I asked for the 3rd time.

"My God Colson! Never mind, I'm ready let's go."She said.

I opened the car door for her and we made our way to the restaurant. Later we we're seated.

"I'm sorry baby. I'm just so excited to tell you my news. I've been waiting forever to tell you in person."

"Ok so tell."

"No, I wanna hear your news first."

"Well ok. I'm not going to be touring anymore with Paramore."

"What!? Why?! Did something happen?"

"No, I really just hate being away from you guys so much and I'm finally following my dream."

"So your gonna be designing?"

"Yep."

"No way. So you gonna start making my shit now or.."

"Um no Colson I'm doing lingerie actually."

"Oh shit! I hope I get to see everything first."

"You already have."She laughed playfully

Before I could say anything else our waiter brought our food. He better be glad to cause I was about to get straight X rated.

"So what's your news?" She questioned.

"Speaking of following dreams. I'm doing something I always wanted to do also."

"Continue."

"I landed two roles in two different movies."

"You lyin!" Jane replied.

"Hahaha if I'm lyin I'm dyin."

"Ok details, details!"

"One of the movies is called Beyond the lights and I play rapper Kid Culprit. It's a small role but he it's something. The other is Punk's Dead: SLC Punk 2. It's the sequel to Punk's Dead and I'm playing Crash."

"That's it?! That's all your gonna tell me?"

"Sorry that's all I can tell you."

"Seriously?"

"Seriously."

"Anyways congratulations! I'm so proud of you!"

"Man I'm proud of you! When did you have time to do all this lingerie design stuff?"

"Lot of sleepless nights. I just felt like it was time. I mean I'll still be gone but at least it won't be for long periods at a time."

I was happy we were both finally gonna be doing the things we always wanted to do. I was proud of both us. We came a long way.
