(Minnie's POV)
"Wha-what? How did you guys get here?" Shuhua asked. Soyeon shrugged and replied, "Probably the same way you guys got here." Suddenly, we heard footsteps, loud ones. They sounded like high heels, but it was still different. A woman appeared in front of us. She was in a long, black dress. She was tall and dainty. But who knew, when she talked...
"Finally! You all made it." Her voice was as deep as Yuqi's, yet something about it seemed...creepy.
"I know her-" Soojin started, but what cut of when Soyeon's eyes widened, motioning her to stop.
"Who are you?" I asked, trying to sound bold, but realizing it sounded weak.
"Me? I'm the queen of the moon. I'm the moon's 6938th ruler." Shuhua laughed sarcastically, clearly not believing her. Yuqi nudged her arm, sending a signal to respect the lady. Yuqi is probably right. Something about this woman...she seemed so powerful yet evil. "Please, believe me." She surprised me when she suddenly softened her tone.
"Wha-what do you want?" I asked, in an alert tone. She seemed dangerous. I looked around to see what I could use to protect my members, but I wasn't a fighter or anything. All we could do was please her and respect her, hoping she wouldn't do anything to us. Clearly, we had already failed to do so.
"Let me explain a few things here. I brought you all here to choose one of you to take over my job as the ruler of the moon." The six of us stood there, with none of us moving. We were so shocked. "I am old. I need a ruler to replace me. The crystal that each of you got? It sent them to indicate that you were ready. That you could maybe be the queen." She claimed she was old, but her skin seemed soother than Miyeon's. She hair was all black, with no strands of white or grey. She semmed in pretty good condition too. I wonder if she had some sort of magic thing that made her look young. That sounds pretty impossible, but the entire situation is impossible.
"Who is...it?" Soojin asked, shooting me back to reality.
"The Moon Orb. It selects each ruler of the moon. This time, it showed that the ruler would be one of you, so I sent you here." I watched as Shuhua clenched her fists tightly. I was scared she would do something terrible. But the fists slowly loosened and relaxed. Good. She still knew how to control herself.
"What do you want?" She said in a rude tone. Nevermind. She couldn't. Suprisingly, this queen's temper is better than it seems. She did not answer her question, but at least she didn't hurt her or something.
"Nothing. I called you all here to explain this. Also to imform you that all of you have gotton your crystals. The Moon Orb will choose the leader in a few moments. Just wait here." She walked out of the room and quickly came back with a clear orb. It looked like a normal orb, execpt there was an eye-catching logo. It was a silver moon that apperead at the edge of the orb.
"Before we begin, let me tell you some information about the rulers of the moon. They are not chosen by random; the orb and chooses the person who is most suited for this. The ruler, however will stay in the moon until it's time for the next person to become the ruler. I have been here for about 6 hundred thousand years." This is nonsense. Absoulty nonsense. One of us will be stuck here for 6 hundred thousand years? The rest of us would be dead by then! Without even one member, we are not (G)I-DLE. Does that mean this is the end of (G)I-DLE? Forever? Before giving us time to think or process everything she said, she pressed her necklace on the center of the orb. It was the first time I've realized she had the necklace. It was identical of the moon sign on the orb. It was beatuiful. But I was in no mood to admire the beauty. The orb lit up with a purple glow. I thought there was more, but the queen smiled and turned to us.
"She has been chosen. The 6969th ruler of the moon, Cho Miyeon."
