ADORE YOU ( wild card )

Chapter Three

MISSY HAD COME to stand next to her sister, along with Wheels, when suddenly, Wild Card spoke.

"So, new girls, what are your superpowers?" Wild Card asked, crossing his arms. "Yeah, uh, so with the whole powes thing--" Missy started, but was cut off by Facemaker who had recognized the girls.

"Wait a second! I remember you. You're Marcus Moreno's kids." Facemaker said, and the twins nodded uncomfortably. "Yeah, our dad hasn't gone on any missions for a while so..." Missy started. "We've been chilling with the normal kids." Cassidy finished, making eye contact with Wild Card who still had his arms crossed.

"Why would they put twins with superpowers in with the normal kids?" asked Wild Card, earning a glare from Cassidy.

She looked at Missy, waiting for her to say something.

"Oh, I get it. You don't have any powers." Wild Card said. "Shut up, Wild Card." Cassidy hissed, turning Missy around, and glaring at the boy.

"You two are powerless?" Wheels widened his eyes, and Missy turned back around. "She's not," Missy pointed towards her sister. "Whatever. Can we put on the TV? I want to see if there's any news about our parents." Missy said, sitting down in her chair.

"Hold on, hold on, you have powers?" Wild Card said, pointing at the back of Cassidy's head.

She only nodded, but when he asked to see them, she turned her head, sending a glare.

"Shut up." She warned. "No, I want to see them." Wild Card smirked, crossing his arms again. "Drop it." She warned again through gritted teeth. "Or, is she lying?" Wild Card gestured to Missy, and Cassidy stood up quickly, her chair flying to the other side of the room, causing Wild Card to widen his eyes with an open mouthed smirk.

"Shut up!" Cassidy yelled, causing the lights to flicker, and everyone to hold onto the table they were at.

Her breathing speed increased, and she felt blood trickle down to her top lip. She tilted her head down, and then shot it back up; the table Wild Card was next to flew to the wall; breaking in half.

She let out a sigh of exhaustion, and wiped the blood.

Missy pulled another chair for Cassidy, allowing her twin sister to fall right into it, looking at her sister.

"You okay, Cass?" Missy asked, placing her hand on Cassidy's knee. Cassidy only nodded, then glaced around to see everyone staring at her.

Cassidy flicked her wrist, and the TV turned on; well, she thought she did it, but it was really just Wheels who had full control over it.

"You know this is an epic Heroic smackdown event when they call in Sharkboy," Everyone cheered at that; Guppy being the loudest, for that was her father.

"Earlier today, Sharkboy appeared from the ocean depths; landing on the beach of South Padre Island."

"And, moments later, Lavagirl blasted up from inside an active volcano." The TV showed Lavagirl actually blasting up, and Cassidy turned her head towards Guppy who shouted, "Go Sharkboy and Lavagirl!"

Cassidy gave a grin towards the girl, then looked back at the TV.

"She's from the earth's core, ya know."

"And, here's Mayor Dolittle at todays ribbon cutting for his new city hall rebuilt after the last time the Heroics went into action." Cassidy rolled her eyes when they replayed the clip of Blinding Fast, because she actually saw it.

He's not that fast., thought Cassidy who gave a bored look, then listened as her sister gave a laugh at her expression.

She grinned at Missy, then returned her gaze to the TV.
