WILD CARD WAS not having everyone else's b-s; especially not Missy's.
After Cassidy's voice had stopped, he was suddenly in a horrible mood. Anger bubbled in his stomach, and whenever Missy talked, he sent her a glare, and talked back to her.
"Wow, great attitude." Wild Card commented sarcastically, giving a thumbs up. "We're never getting out of here, and we're certainly never seeing our parents again, and we're not going to save Cassidy, that's for sure." Missy winked at Wheels, and he nodded.
"She's right. Pretty soon we'll forget what they even look like." Wheels said, and Wild Card turned to him, glaring at him. "No, no, we have to get Cassidy back. Uh, and our parents we--" He stopped talking when Missy winked at him, putting her index finger to her lip.
"But, I guess this really is the end." Wild Card said, and everyone made a comment.
"Guppy, quick, gather all the tears!" Missy said, and Guppy went around, collecting them, and turning it into a key. "What are you making?" asked A Capella who watched over Guppy's shoulder.
"I'm making a key." Guppy said.
Nobody had noticed how impatient Wild Card was starting to get; so impatient, that he bounced his leg up and down, and bit the inside of his cheek.
"Little Miss Guppy, you just saved us." Missy said, placing a hand on Guppy's head, causing Guppy to give a smile.
Missy ran over to the door, and stuck the key in the keyhole, making the lock open. Wild Card shot up, and ran out the door, running the opposite way of the group. Missy turned around.
"Hey, where are you going?!" She yelled/asked, furrowing her eyebrows. "I'm going to go get Cassidy since that wasn't on your to-do list!" Wild Card shouted back, and continued to run.
Cassidy let out a pained scream as one of the tentacles pushed a sharp talon into her side.
"Help me!" She screamed, and Wild Card followed the noise.
Wild Card then came to a door, and put his ear up against it. He looked through the tiny window in the door to see Cassidy crying.
He slid open the door, causing the alien to shriek away.
"Wild Card!" Cassidy exclaimed, and looked down at the ropes that had suddenly disappeared. She hopped out of the chair, quickly falling to her knees where she reached her arms out.
Wild Card wrapped his arms around her quickly, mumbling a: "I won't let them get you again, I promise." into her shoulder. She wrapped her arms around him, and nodded; tears falling down her cheeks.
They pulled apart, and Wild Card looked into her eyes.
He gently caressed her cheeks and pulled them together; fireworks practically going off in the air as their lips connected. Cassidy's eyes went wide, but she melted into the kiss.
They both pulled away at the same time, grinning.
"Let's get out of here, yeah?" He said, blushing like crazy. She nodded, standing up.
He grabbed her hand, and led her out of the room.
Blood soaked through her overalls, but she didn't let it bother her.
"Missy!" Cassidy yelled when she saw the group of kids. Missy turned around and ran to her sister, enveloping her in a tight hug. The parents, who were watching, awed. But, Marcus noticed something about Cassidy and Wild Card as they continued to watch.
"Wheels, how much time do we have?" Cassidy asked, pulling apart from Missy and walking with the children with confidence. "Eighteen minutes." He replied, and Wild Card glanced at Cassidy who was thinking about what they should do.
"Then we're gonna need to hurry if we wanna stop the takeover." Missy said, walking beside Cassidy. "Us? Are. You. Nuts? We have to go free our parentsm since we already got Cassidy, and let them handle it." Wild Card said, earning a side glance from Cassidy.
Marcus furrowed his eyebrows when Wild Card mentioned his daughter.
"No! There's not time for that!" Missy shouted. "Missy--" Cassidy said, but she was ignored. A tiny part of her wished she hadn't been found.
"By the time we get there they--" Wild Card cut Missy off just like she had done to Cassidy. "No! I'm through listening to you." Wild Card snapped, and Cassidy sighed. "When I woke up this morning, everything was perfect, and then you two come along and everything's a mess!" Wild Card snapped again.
Cassidy was taken aback.
"If Little Miss no-powers is who you want as a leader, fine, follow her straight into alienville." Wild Card said, pointing down the hallway. "But, Facemaker and I are gonna get our parents." Wild Card said, grabbing Facemaker who was confused.
"We are?" Facemaker asked, leaning in to whisper that into Wild Cards ear. "Yes. Right now." Wild Card told him, grabbing his shoulders, and started to walk down the hallway.
"Guys, we have to stick together." Missy said, but they had already rounded the corner.
Missy gave Cassidy a look, and Cassidy sighed.
"I'll get them." She said, rolling her eyes and following the boys.
"Hey!" She yelled, her voice echoing.
Wild Card stopped in his tracks, and turned around quickly. He knew it was Cassidy by the way the voice sounded, and he smirked at her.
"We have to stick together, like Missy said." Cassidy told him, and Facemaker glanced in between the two.
Tech-No looked at Marcus with curiousity, and they both leaned in to look closer at the screen.
"Look, Cass, I get that she's your sister, but we have to find our parents." Wild Card said, gesturing to Facemaker who was very confused. Cassidy looked at Facemaker, but he just shrugged.
Wild Card turned around and continued walking.
"Don't be a jerk!" She shouted, her voice echoing once again. "Stop!" She shouted once more; the floor starting to rumble.
She blinked, looking down at the ground. She ran off back to Missy before Wild Card could even turn around; and when he did and saw that Cassidy wasn't there anymore, he sighed.
"Forget him. We need to get to the rocket so I can stop it before it launches." Cassidy heard as she started walking back over.
Missy glanced at Cassidy and mouthed, "Any luck?" Cassidy only shook her head, sighing and looking down at her feet.
They had kissed, what was his problem? Was this his way of telling her that he didn't enjoy the kiss?
"How are you so sure you can do that?" Cassidy asked from behind Wheels, causing him to let out a yelp and turn around to her. "Because everything the aliens built is super intuitive to use, almost like it was designed for children to opperate." Wheels said, then paused.
Cassidy had caught on, and smirked.
"Get me close. I'll turn it off." Wheels said.
//
"THAT'S IT THERE!" Wheels exclaimed, and A Capella sang, twirling around. "We're gonna make it afterall!" She sang, but when they saw the guards.
"Uh, no we're not." Fast Forward said, and everyone started to run the other way.
Then, it got blocked, guards flooding the hallway.
"Uh... guys? What do we do now?" Rewind asked, and Cassidy took in a deep breath, stepping forward.
Missy looked at Cassidy in alarm; her fists up, and ready to fight.
"Inner strength." She whispered, tilting her head down.
