CASSIDY GLANCED BACK at Wild Card who was talking to his dad, hands stuffed in his pockets. She looked at Missy for approval, and Missy nodded.

"Who- Why's she going over there?" Marcus asked Anita who only smirked at Cassidy as she walked down over to meet Wild Card. As she approached, Tech-No raised an eyebrow at his son, then looked back at Marcus who had the same expression.

"Hi." Cassidy said. "Hey." He replied, and she took a deep breath in.

She walked a bit closer, pulling him into a hug, and she rested her head on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around her, and ignored the eyebrows that were being raised by Tech-No and Marcus.

"Were they always that close?" Marcus asked, suddenly alarmed. "Yes, now get over it, you big baby." Anita replied, slapping his arm and he winced.

Missy shook her head with a laugh.

Cassidy pulled away, averting her eyes from one eye to another (Wild Cards eyes).

She pecked his cheek, and smiled. "Thank you." She said, and he furrowed his eyebrows; looking slightly down at her due to their height difference. "For what?" He asked, eyebrows still furrowed.

"For saving me." She told him, and he gave a goofy smile. "Eh, it was nothing." He shrugged, and she laughed at him.

"No, seriously! I should've thanked you when you did save me." She said, laughing.

Wild Card smiled at her, and she bit the inside of her cheek.

"So, uh, there's this thing at my normal kid school.. And, it's not really all that bad, it's like a dance thing-- I dunno how to say it, but, uh, would you..." She trailed off, not knowing how to go about this.

"Yes, I would like to go to the dance with you." He said, and she looked up at him quickly from her feet, a blush on her face. He had made his voice sound weird when he said the word dance, and she smiled.

"I mean, you-you don't have to, since you powers and everything... but, I just thought I'd ask--" He cut her off by grabbing her head, and looking right into her eyes.

"Cass, I don't care if I have powers. I can control them now." He reassured her, and she was still hesitant. "You sure?" She asked, and he furrowed his eyebrows. "Yes, I'm sure, why wouldn't I be?" He asked in a mocking tone, crossing his arms. "Well, you just made it seem like you didn't like normal kids--"

He shushed her with a chuckle, and she held back a laugh that tickled her throat.

"Uh, I think it's on Thursday... But it might've been pushed back, so possibly Friday at 8?" She assumed, and he shook his head at her with a laugh.

She couldn't help but laugh, too.

MARCUS SAT THERE, running a brush through Cassidy's curly hair and trying to pin it back the best he could. He was a bit frustrated that Cassidy was actually going to the dance with somebody, but all that matters was that she went happily.

He sighed, then called over Missy.

"Yeah?" She asked, walking over to the bathroom where Cassidy sat on the toilet, and Marcus sat on the edge of the bathtub. "Can you?" He asked, gesturing towards Cassidy's hair, and Missy nodded with a slight laugh.

"Now, what do we have here?" Missy asked herself, taking the brush and her father's place.

She ran the brush through Cassidy's hair, and reached over to get the gel where she pushed her sister's hair back. Cassidy hissed at this, the sudden coldness of the gel touching her scalp making her jump.
