It was the next day and I'm still lost for words; I did not see that coming at all. All last night I just couldn't stop thinking about it..I mean who would if they saw they're ex-boyfriend picking up someone people barley knew, or at least someone I barely knew. For some reason this whole thing just didn't sit right with me, but I wasn't going to allow myself to stress about it, so I just said a prayer and gave it to God.

It has been a couple of hours since school started and we were already in 4th period..our free period. This is one of Haylee and I's only period we have together; we try to catch up as much as we can since we don't see each other often during school.

"Soo, what did you want to tell me last night?" Haylee asked raising her eyebrows.

Last night I tried to call Haylee to tell her about what I saw but it was after 9:30 and I forgot she has to put her phone up around the same time on school nights.
"You know yesterday when we were leaving school out in the parking lot?" She nods her head.

"Well when I was walking to the car I saw Lance getting picked up by Nash!" 

"Really! Wow, I wonder how they know each other."   Me to Haylee..me to.

After school I decided to walk home since I needed sometime alone to talk with God, since I don't really get any at home with everyone there. I take the time to absolutely reflect and thank him for everything that he has done for me, even when I didn't do right. I'm so grateful that he stuck by my side through it all.

On my usual route home, like I would go when I drive, I always pass by an basketball court near my old middle school. It's actually the most popular court in our town, everyone comes to it, but walking pass the court today was different than usual. No one was there except one person, Lance. Quickly walking by he turn him head my direction and noticed me. Soon coming my way.

"Aye, your the girl that goes to my school right? The one I talked to before." Lance asks, noticing me.
"Uh, yea I'm Kiya.."
"Kiya...that's a cute name, I'm Lance, yesterday the bell cut me off so, I'm just formally introducing myself." I smiled.
"Do you live around here? I never seen you before, well around here but I've seen you at school." I talked holding back a chuckle.

As he walks closer to me I began to take in his appearance. He is much taller than my 5'1 height..  maybe about 6'4 or I'm just exaggerating. He also looks like he's been through a painful season. I closed my eyes and prayed. "Lord, I may be wrong, but if he is in any pain or going through any darkness I ask that you watch over him and heal him, and may he come out victorious, In Jesus name, Amen."

"You okay? Look like you was about to fall asleep or something haha." My eyes widen.

"Oh no I'm fine, I was just praying that's all." I watched as he looked off into the distance ignoring what I just said.

'Does he have a problem with praying, or most importantly does he have a problem with GOD? I really hope not', Stuck in my thoughts I totally forgot where I was.

"Ohh, and to answer your question I do live around here I live around the corner, next to that brick house over there." I gasped

"Wait! You live right by me, we're neighbors!"

"Cool." He looked off again.

What is wrong with him? I mean, I'm not being rude by questioning it but ever since I mentioned I was praying he became distant. Does he have some kind of hate towards GOD? If he does I'm going to make it my responsibility to find out. Maybe I can get closer to him now that we're neighbors, maybe I can get him closer to the Lord!! Yes, get him closer to the Lord, that's my goal.

"Are you okay?" I asked as he looked at me. "I mean I know we really don't know each other but yesterday you were so talkative when you stopped me on the stairs and now, I don't know, I just want to make sure your okay?" I struggled to get it out, not really finding my words.

"Look, I'm fine, and your right we don't know each other so don't just assume things about me, and not everyone is going to be all sunshine and rainbows everyday..it's life, get used to it." And with that he walked off.
