It had been about a week since you got back from the fire nation... Everyone was preparing for Kuvira's attack, which was a week away still, and the city was almost completely evacuated... Korra and the others just told Raiko about the 5 of you going behind enemy lines, and destroying the weapon... You were meditating on the balcony, when Korra and the others came over to you.


Korra: Alright... I just asked Raiko... The 5 of us are heading out to see if we can stop that weapon... Tonight.


You got up.


(y/n): Alright, I'll go pack some things.


Korra grabbed your arm as you walked away from them.


(y/n): What?

Korra: It's 3 pm (y/n).

(y/n): And?

Korra: We're probably not leaving till at least 11.

(y/n): ...Your point is?


She lightly punched your shoulder.


Korra: You wanna go walk around air temple island for a little bit?

(y/n): Uh, I guess if you don't have to save the world at this exact moment.


She chuckled.


Asami: I'm gonna head back to the factory for a bit, and see if Varrick needs any help.

Mako: I need to get back to Prince Wu before he starts crying that I'm not there.


You chuckled.


(y/n): I feel bad for ya Mako.

Mako: Eh, it has it's ups and downs.


Mako and Asami left.


Bolin: What do I do?


You and Korra looked at each other.


(y/n): Go find Opal?

Bolin: She's busy.

(y/n): Play hide and seek with Pabu?

Bolin: Already did that... 20 times... Today...


You chuckled.


(y/n): Bolin, you just be you... Do whatever it is you wanna do.

Bolin: But that's just it, I don't know what to do.

Korra: Go-

Bolin: I SEE OPAL!


Opal just flew in on her bison... And Bolin booked it to her.


(y/n): Well that takes care of that... Come on.


You and Korra held hands... As you walked across the sandy part of the island... You then held her waist, and you both looked to the sky.


Korra: ...What if we fail?

(y/n): What?

Korra: What if we can't stop Kuvira?

(y/n): Korra... Don't worry about it-

Korra: I don't want this to turn out like the hundred year war did for Avatar Aang... I don't want the next Avatar to clean up my mistakes...


You caressed her cheek.


(y/n): They won't... Kuvira with have to go through me to even touch you... That... I promise.


She hugged you.


Korra: Thank you (y/n)... You've protected me... Even when I didn't want it, or didn't think I needed it... You've saved my life more times than I have yours... I'll never be able to repay you...


You looked to the ground...


(y/n): ...

Korra: (y/n)?

(y/n): You're right Korra... You'll never be able to make up for the sacrifices I made for you...


You looked up to her.


(y/n): But I don't want you to... I saved your life because... I wouldn't want to do anything else with mine... All I want to do is protect you... Even if you weren't the Avatar... I would make it my goal to make sure no one harmed you in any way...


Her eyes watered up.


(y/n): I love you Korra.

Korra: I love you too (y/n).



TIMESKIP.


10:45 PM



You and Korra walked along the sandy side of the island for a little longer... You all then got ready to head out... You were all now getting on a bison, ready to leave.


Tenzin: You 5 be safe.

Korra: We will Tenzin.


The bison then flew off... And you were on your way behind enemy lines...




TIMESKIP ONE HOUR (sorry for all of the timeskips xD)




You were all just chilling in the saddle... You noticed that Mako and Asami were talking... Bolin was trying to be apart of the conversation... You came to the front of the saddle... Korra was on the bison's neck, guiding it.


(y/n): You want a break?

Korra: I'm fine.

(y/n): You sure?

Korra: I'm fine.


You sighed... Then slid down the saddle, and you were now sitting behind Korra... Your legs spread outside of her... You grabbed her waist.


Korra: Hey! what are you doing?!

(y/n): Korra... Relax.

Korra: We don't have time to relax.

(y/n): ...Korra, we're not gonna get there for another 10 hours...

Korra: I know, but-

(y/n): But nothing... You need your beauty sleep... And if you don't want to, then at least let me hold you and give you company.

Korra: ...Fine.


You smiled, and held her waist a little tighter... She then sank into your arms, and rested her head on your shoulder... You could feel her shoulders, and the rest of her body relax...


Korra: I'm sorry for yelling... I just-

(y/n): Korra... You don't need to apologize...

Korra: ...

(y/n): Don't worry about it.


You just kissed her cheek, and gave her a reassuring smile.


(y/n): Yelling at me won't get rid of me... You should know this by now.


Korra just smiled, and you two talked for most of the night...



4:00 AM.



You and Korra had been awake since you left air temple island... Mako, Asami, and Bolin had been asleep for some time... So you and Korra woke them up, so you could change shifts, and you and Korra could get some much needed rest...




DREAM.





You were in a completely dark place, unsure of where... But... A cloaked figure showed up... You knew who it was.




Lee... They.

(y/n): ...They what?

Lee: ...They are coming.

(y/n): They who?

Lee: ...They are coming... Remember your Flare Flower...


Lee then disappeared... And you woke up...


7:00 AM.


The sun had just shown itself... You and Korra were almost glued to each other... You were holding each other so close... You opened your eyes... Korra was cuddling into your chest.


(y/n): Hey sleepy head, we should get up.


Korra grumbled, because she wanted to cuddle some more with you...


(y/n): When should we get there?

Asami: Good, you guys are awake, Mako and Bolin didn't even last an hour.


You looked over at Mako and Bolin who were asleep on the side of the bison.


(y/n): Buttmunches.

Korra: You can say that again... I think I'll give em a nice face full of air to get them off their butts!


You and Asami chuckled, and watch as Korra rushed gusts of air into their faces.


Mako: WHA!!!

Bolin: NOT MY WAFFLES!


Bolin and Mako realized they were awake.


Bolin: Oh... BUT MY WAFFLES!

(y/n): You were dreaming about waffles?

Bolin: ...Maybe...

Mako: Thanks for waking us up... Sorry for falling asleep on you guys.

Korra: It's fine.


Korra then took the reins


(y/n): So when do you think we'll get there?

Asami: It might be another-


Just then, you all heard a huge thud.


Bolin: What was that?

(y/n): I don't know, but it-


Then it happened again.


Korra: It sounds constant... Wait, isn't that Kuvira's army down there?!


You all look down.


(y/n): Shit! It is!


*thud*


Bolin: It's getting louder!

Mako: What could it-


*Thud*


Asami: It doesn't sound like they're traveling by train! That's for sure!


*THUD*


Then... You all saw the silver giant appear from behind the mountains...


Bolin: WHAAAAAAT!

Korra: What is that?!

Asami: IT'S A GIANT MECHA SUIT!

Mako: We need to get out of here!


Just then, the Mech stopped... And the cannon on it's arm lit up.


Bolin: I know what happens next! WE GOTTA MOVE!


Korra shifted the bison enough not to get hit... But you were spiraling down, out of control.


(y/n): Shit! Everyone hang on!


The bison then got control of the air again... but Kuvira was aiming another shot...



To be honest... You didn't think you'd make it out of this one...


Bolin: OH CRAP!


Kuvira aimed the cannon at you... And fired!



*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*




The explosion was huge, Kuvira was almost certain that the avatar and her friends were dead...





Almost...



Then... Out of the smoke... A HUGE (f/c) fire wall was in the air... And all she, and even Mako, Asami, Korra, and Bolin could see... Was you... Floating in front of the bison... (f/c) fire coming from your hands, feet, and mouth... You created a fire wall shield!... This quickly disappeared after a few seconds... And you fell on the bison... Completely unconscious...


Korra: We gotta get out of here!


Korra was able to guide the bison out of the sticky situation... She then came to the back of saddle... Where you lay.


Korra: How is he?!

Asami: I don't know what he did... But he just saved our lives... Again...

Mako: I didn't know you could even use so much fire power before!

Bolin: ...Maybe he was right?

Mako: What do you mean?

Bolin: Maybe he is the last Sun Warrior... How else would an average fire bender be able to do that?!

Mako: ... He was telling the truth...



TIMESKIP 7 HOURS!


The bison landed back at air temple island... it was 1 PM, and Korra got off, and carried your body.


Tenzin: What happened?! Why are you back so soon.


Korra completely ignored Tenzin, and rushing into the house, carrying your body to the bath...


Asami, Mako, and Bolin explained everything, while Korra tried to heal you.


Korra: Come on (y/n), wake up.


It took a few minutes... But you did start to regain conciseness.


(y/n): K-K...Korra?

Korra: (y/n)!! I'm here! I'm here.


She held your body.


Korra: I'm so happy you're alright.

(y/n): ...I-I'm happy you're all alright.


You slowly started to get up.


(y/n): Where are we?

Korra: Back at the temple... Come on, we need to get moving.


She helped you up.


Korra: You might want to put on some dry clothes though.

(y/n): I will... Thanks.


You left, went back to you and Korra's room, changed into dry clothes, and when you came walking back out, everyone was just looking at you... Korra came up and hugged you.


Korra: What was that?

(y/n): What was what?

Bolin: That giant fire wall you made!

Mako: We explained it to Tenzin, Chief, and President Raiko.


President Raiko walked over to you.


Raiko: I'm sorry for being rude last week... I talked with Fire Lord Izumi if she knew anything about "you being a Sun Warrior" And she explained it to me... I'm sorry for not believing in you before.

(y/n): It's whatever... It wouldn't sound believable if someone had told me that.

Chief Beifong: Fair point... But now... We have to get ready for war... Think you can still fight kid? We could use your fire power.

Bolin: Yeah! You're like a second Avatar!

Mako: Really Bolin?

Bolin: Really!

(y/n): Anyway, I appreciate the compliment Bolin... Yeah, A little soreness never killed anyone... What can I do?

Chief Beifong: I'll go get your things Mr. President, I think it would be best to make your HQ here on Air Temple island...

Tenzin: Pema, go help Wu with the rest of the evacuation.

Asami: I'm gonna go see if I can help Varrick get at least one or two of those suits done.

Mako: Bolin and I can come with you.

Korra: Alright... (y/n), you're with me... We're going to the front lines.

(y/n): Alright.


You all just looked at each other... And went on your ways...



TIMESKIP.



You were helping the front line troops get ready... When you started feeling the vibration in your feet.


(y/n): Shit!

Fire Nation Soldier: What is it?!


(y/n): She's here! General Iroh!


You shouted his name, and ran over to him and Korra.


(y/n): She's here!


*thud*


General Iroh: How big is this thing again?!

Korra: About 25 stories... Maybe bigge-


*Thud*


General Iroh: Have you finished helping the troops?

(y/n): Yes, they're all set... But I don't think any of us are prepared fo-


*THUD*



You, Korra, and General Iroh looked outside the tent... And there it was... It it's huge, platinum glory...



Kuvira then fired at General Iroh's ships in the bay... And was about to fire on you all... When you hear Iroh say that President Raiko surrendered.


General Iroh: Korra, (y/n)! You need to get out of here! Before she sees you!


You and Korra nod... And flee the scene quickly, and head back to the factory...


When you both walk in, Korra explains what happened... And then Korra thought of something.


Korra: We need to Capture Baatar Jr... He's the only other one who will know the weapon well enough to destroy it.

Tenzin: It's risky... But our best option.

Korra: Tenzin, Bumi, Jinora, and Kai, with me.


She walked over to you.


Korra: If for some reason, we don't come back... Just know... I love you (y/n).

(y/n): I love you too Korra.


Korra kissed you, and you watched as Korra and the others left...


You were waiting around with the rest of them.


Bolin: What if Baatar doesn't do what we want? What then?

Sue: I don't know Bolin... I don't know...

Mako: Regardless... I just hope Wu can get the rest of the people out of Republic City.

(y/n): Yeah...



After about 10 minutes, you see Tenzin walk in, holding a body bag.


Bolin: You guys made it back!


Then... Kai, Bumi, and Jinora.


Mako: Is that Baatar?


They didn't say anything... They had their heads hung low.


Asami: Where's-


You realized too... Korra wasn't there.


Tenzin: ... We barely escaped... But Korra...









Tenzin: Got captured...










Your heart sank...


Tenzin: (y/n)... You're our best chance of defeating Kuvira now...
