"Why is my level at 81?" Suji demanded the instant she went to the breakfast table that the trio usually sat. Annoyed, she flicked her Infonet to her trainer for an explanation. "I got like, 10 bullets in a row AND I tried BOTH the semi-automatic AND fully automatic mode that you told me about! Shouldn't I get like, 5 levels up by now?"
Adam's eyes had widened when she had smacked the Infonet in front of his face before he started laughing. "No, no, your level is fine. By the time you go up to level 80, you start training with weapons, and since there are a LOT of weapons, you don't gain as much as level as you did," Adam explained as he brushed a tear from his eyes.
Suji let out a huff of annoyance as she flopped into her chair. "Calla, can we switch levels?"
Calla let out a giggle before she patted Suji's back playfully. "Hey, I'll be with you soon! I went up another 10 levels from yesterday after some deadly training."
Suji turned to her friend with her jaws dropped. "How did you gain so much in a single day? You used to gain like, one level per two days!"
"Hey, you used to gain like, five per day!" Calla shot back with a smile. "Besides, I could do whatever I want if I just put my mind into it. I gotta catch up to you soon, so I don't leave you alone too much, don't I?"
Suji made a small grin as Calla embraced her tightly. "Yeah, right. I don't think I'll be able to go much quicker anyways," she stated as she picked up her spoon and pulled her bowl closer to her.
A moment of silence cast upon them as they all started eating; Suji quickly finished her cereal and licked her spoon, wondering if she should get seconds. She probably could, but she didn't want to vomit during training. Adam stood up and soon returned after inserting some food in his Infonet, like how he always did in the morning. Suji saw a glimpse of an energy bar before Adam swiped his Infonet, and she resisted the urge to ask for the food right away.
"Did you guys finish your food?" Adam asked as he stood before his chair. When he saw Suji and Calla nod, he smiled. "Then let's get to training, shall we?"
"Wait... I'm not shooting again?" Suji asked, wide-eyed, as Adam led them past the shooting area.
She silently was wishing she'd continue on with shooting. It was more enjoyable than she had imagined; therefore, she couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed as they passed the training area for shooting.
"Mhm," Adam nodded as he clicked on the open button to the door next to the shooting area. "I thought you'd like to try various weapons before perfecting them. Besides, new weapons mean more levels."
"Ah, I get it now," Suji muttered her approval as she glanced around the hallway as Adam slipped into the room.
The current hallway they were on was on the 2nd floor, one of the training area floors. It was a long, dimly lit hallway with doors that led to different types of training areas. The hallway had transportation circles at both ends of the hall. Although all training rooms had one teleportation circle, since the place they had headed for wasn't that far from the back, Adam had decided to just use the hallway one instead. The hallway was dark, the teleportation circles lighting up the ends, and the light from the training rooms were the only things that brought light upon the darkness. All the doors in the hallways seemed like average classroom doors, but the instant they stepped in, they were swiped into a world of brightness along with two big auto glass doors that opened up with a sensor. Suji winced at the brilliance and was immediately welcomed by a loud THWACK! Suji heard Calla squeak in surprise as Suji glanced around at the new training room.
"Uhh... Adam? Why are we in this... Baseball place thingy?" Suji questioned as Adam led them to a section. Adam just let out a silent chuckle as he wordlessly continued his lead.
