Everyone is talking about the dance scene and I KNOW, it's the best, the emotions I felt are unmatched, but the volleyball scene?!
That's the scene when you know Conrad is the sun, when you know Conrad is the right answer, when you know it's always gonna be Conrad for Belly. I think this scene says a lot about the reason why Conrad and Belly fit together and work better together. The way Conrad and Belly can be so in sync and focus on a goal they want to reach while achieving it together is something her and Jeremiah can't do as easily. Even looking at Conrad and Belly's expressions and how happy they were when playing together says a lot. Conrad barely smiled this season and this scene alone he was happier than most, same with Belly. Even the handshake shows howconnected they are. Plus, when he leans towards her as they high five, you can clearly see the tension. And the looks she gives him where he's saying you got this, she really looks at him like he's the sun. When she was playing with Jeremiah all he was focused on was her, which is fine, but she wanted him focused on her goal. Conrad saw that and together they achieved it and won. Conrad was there for Belly, as usual when she needed it. Remember the muffin scene and dance lesson scene? Even before this summer, when Belly turned "pretty", Conrad was always willing to be there for Belly and help her. Meanwhile Jeremiah treated her differently before this summer. That is why the two of them won this game. Finally, they WIN. Together, they win. The scene is just magical. It was winning in a sense for them as a couple. That's why they work better together.
