Emily's P.O.V

I groaned as the morning light from my window hit my face. Damn it was bright. To make matters worse Tanner, my mate, looked like a donkey when he was sleeping. The sheets were twisted all around my feet so I untangled myself and walked to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for the day.

After I was finished with my shower, I started to brush my teeth and wash my face. Then it occurred to me that my mate was probably still sleeping... "Tanner, get up!" I shouted from the bathroom. God he's so lazy.

I walked over to the bed and started shaking his sleeping form. For most mates, they would think their mate looks so beautiful sleeping. For me? I wanted to slap his lazy ass to get him up. How did I get stuck with such an asshole of a mate?! All he does is sleep, eat, and repeat. No, he does not have a job...

"What is it Emily?!" He shouts at me annoyed. Ha! He's annoyed? I should video tape him and replay it for him.

I rolled my eyes. "It's noon dumbass! Get up!"

"Whatever." He grumbles while putting his face back in the pillow. This is my daily routine, attempting to wake him up. Though, it was always a failed attempt.

I was walking down the halls of the pack house, and then Trenton- another pack member stopped in front of me, causing me to bump into his chest. "Can I help you?" I replied rudely.

He glared at me. "Alpha Miller wants you in his office now." Once he said that he turned around and walked out the door.

I quickly went out the front door and went straight to the Alpha's home. What could he possibly want? I hadn't done anything wrong... Today.

He probably found out that I had intended on killing Katie! But how would he? He thinks I'm just bringing her back and so does Mark, they are all complete idiots.

Walking up the stairs of the Alpha's house, my stomach went in knots. I knocked a couple times and then Gloria, Alpha Miller's mate and our Luna answered.

I bowed my head in respect. "Luna."

"Emily, come in. My mate has been waiting for you." She opened the door a bit wider and I walked in.

Gloria told me to go down the hall where his office was and I proceeded to walk.

When I approached the door I knocked. "Come in." Alpha Miller said.

I took a deep breath and opened the door slowly. He was writing something down and when he noticed me he pointed to the chair across from him, initiating for me to sit.

I did as he said and crossed my left leg over my right. "I'm canceling your plans to retrieve my daughter." Alpha Miller told me. He didn't even glance at me while speaking.

"WHY NOT?!" I slapped my hand over my mouth- wrong decision to raise your voice to an alpha.

"YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME THAT WAY. IF I SO MUCH AS HEAR YOU RAISE YOUR VOICE TO ME I WILL HAVE YOUR TONGUE CUT OUT. UNDERSTOOD?"

I frantically nodded me head. "Good. The reason I am canceling is because my daughters mate, also the Alpha of the Silver Moon pack, is coming here to visit tomorrow. I assume Katie will come with."

My brother... C-coming... Here?! He can't find out what's really going on in my life! How my mate, Tanner, cheats on me every other day or how I do the same. He'll think he is better than me! Katie would never let me live it down. They both live such a 'cookie cutter' life. They make sick.
