Chapter Two
I stepped out of the warm showering with steam rolling off my body as I opened the curtain. I wiped the steam off the mirror and brushed my teeth and hair. By looking at my reflection I realized how much I resembled my father. But I was nothing like him.
I got dressed and looked at the clock that sat by the bed. It's only six am but I had to leave as soon as possible. I know the beta has already told his alpha and they'd be after me first thing when they woke up. I stuffed all my belongings into the small backpack I brought and slung it on my shoulder. I quickly exited the room and left the hotel without muttering a goodbye.
It's now 6:30 and my stomach wouldn't stop making obnoxious grumbles. I knew I had a long journey ahead of me so I should eat. All the shops were closed except for the mall that was about a block away.
I sprinted to it and walked inside the mall. The food court was the first place I went to. I ordered from the McDonalds they had and got a breakfast sandwich. I quickly sat down and basically swallowed my breakfast whole, not caring who saw.
Then suddenly the most amazing smell hit my nose and I knew it wasn't from the heavenly biscuit in front of me. I lifted my head and looked around. There really wasn't anyone here right now except for a few old ladies. The smell got stronger and it was legitimately the best scent I've ever smelled. I looked and looked and then I landed on a pair of eyes that were staring back at me. My mouth formed an 'O' shape as I took in the appearance of the tall dark haired god-like man. I felt a pull to him and all I wanted to do was jump his bones. He was muscular, I could tell even under the black t-shirt he wore.
Then it dawned on me... This is my mate. No, no, no! I can't be finding my mate right now! Of all times! I don't even know if I want a mate. I'm trying to move past this werewolf life and it's like I can't get away. I'll always be sucked into it somehow. The Moon Goddess hate me, that's the only explanation.
I quickly got up and accidentally dropped the biscuit on the ground. I basically whipped my bag onto my shoulder and sprinted quickly away. I could feel him following me and I knew he was only a few feet away from how strong his scent was. On impulse I went into Victoria's Secret, the only place a girl feels either the most comfortable or the most uncomfortable.
I sharply turned in to the store and grabbed a random bra, making it look like I'm going to try it on. I stalked towards the dressing room, not waiting for a sales clerk to show me the way. I walked in the small changing room and shut the door, locking it too. I stepped all the way back, hoping he wouldn't see the bottom of my feet from the short door.
Panic flashed through my mind as the scent of my mate got strong. I knew he couldn't be far and probably knew exactly where I was. Now standing here, not being able to focus on anything but his smell, I can tell he's an alpha. The aura that he gives quickly tell you to respect him. Great, this makes it even worse. Our bond would be much stronger than an ordinary werewolf bond. Basically there's no leaving one another in alpha relationships because it would hurt to be away from each other.
Maybe I could let him down lightly. Tell him that I'm not the werewolf type. Yeah, because I'm totally not a werewolf. I slapped my forehead against the palm of my hand and jumped at the loud banging on the door.
"Open this door!" The loud sexy deep voice ordered. I didn't know what to do but then I realized I would have no other choice but to open it. But hey, it's worth a try and attempt to stall him. Maybe he'll get bored and go back to his little pack.
"Um, I'm changing, and I don't open the door to random strangers." I said through the door. I heard him groan in frustration and he began to bang on the door once more. Dammit he's going to cause a scene!
