The next day Hermione wanted to spend some time with Cameron before the dinner with the Grangers.
"Wake up sleepy head" she burst into his room.
"What time is it?"
"6 a.m. Rise and shine."
"Everyone else is sleeping mom."
"Exactly. Let's go!" she waved her wand and pulled the sheets off of him. "Now get dressed. You and me are going out before the paparazzi get to you" she ordered him.
He did as he was told. He got dressed still tired and followed her. She got in the car and looked at him.
"You coming or what?" He looked at her and got in the car. "You'll barf if I apparate you while you're still tired" she told him.
"Mum, where are we going?"
"You'll see, darling."
The car stopped in front of the big park somewhere in the city. He wasn't sure exactly where he was. Hermione thanked the driver and they got out of the car.
"What are we doing here?"
"Tell me what do you think about this place for the reception."
"What reception?"
"Your wedding reception silly."
"Mum, seriously? We couldn't do this I don't know at 8?"
"No. Because your siblings would be up then and there would be people here" she responded. "So what do you think about it?"
"Mum, I haven't asked her to marry me yet."
"What are you waiting for, an inventation?"
"No, the right moment."
"Cam, sweatie, there isn't the right and the wrong moment. There's just a moment. Don't overthink it. Just do it."
"How was it when dad proposed to you?"
"He overthought about it. He was all over the place, so nervous that he chocked when it was time to pop the question, so I asked him first" she replied.
"Damn, mum. That's a whole new side of you."
"You sound surprised."
"Well, I am" he said.
"Well, don't be. I'm still the same. You just never noticed this side of me, unlike your brothers" she said.
"So that's why they like being around you all the time."
"Yes. And because they love their mother."
"I love you too, you know that."
"I do. You're just never here to tell me that." He hugged her tightly.
"I'll always be there to tell you how much I love you mum, always."
"Oh, honey. Look you made me cry" she told him and hugged him even tighter. "Now, the venue?"
"I like it mom. It is perfect for the wedding. But first, I'll take Amber here on a date and ask her to marry me."
"That's great, honey. Just remember, be you." She kissed his cheek softly and went back to the car. He ran after her.
The car stopped again in front of the flower shop.
"Go!" she ordered him. He looked at her confused. "Buy flowers for the girl!"
"Oh" he got out of the car and came back with two buckets one bucket of dahlias and one of blue roses. "Here" he gave Hermione the dahlias.
"Oh thank you honey. They are beautiful."
