I awoke to a beautiful sunlight hitting my window. Rolling over on the bed I checked my phone, relieved to see it was early so I had a good amount of time left home. I stayed there for a moment longer, regaining my strength from my slumber, before standing up and heading to the bathroom. I was in and out within ten minutes and got dressed. After putting on my black and white, silk, polka-dotted shirt and a pair of shorts I stood in my room staring. Staring at the hole in my wall made by my fist, the gash in my dresser, the way my picture was slightly tilted to the right, the way everything seemed so natural. I was really going to miss this room for two months.

I had decided not to fight, to just attend the facility for the two months it was held, and then get on with life. I felt that was much easier and stress-free than causing more problems by having a throwdown with my mom. I sighed and walked downstairs, inhaling the familiar scent of lavender. I loved the candles we had, there was always at least one lit that made the house smell wonderful, and lavender was my favourite.

It seemed no one was home so I cooked breakfast, wondering what type of breakfast this place would have. Haha, green eggs and ham? I smiled at my thoughts before hearing the doorbell ring. What now, can't I atleast enjoy breakfast first?! I opened the door and was surprised to see Michelle standing in front of me. Why are you here, seriously, last person on my mind to interact with.

"Good morning Arianna, I brought over some cookies my mom made, I just wanted to ask you a quick question, may I come in?" She smiled, raising the bowl of cookies she held. The smell they let off was gorgeous, how could I refuse? I moved to the side, letting her pass.

"What do you want to ask? Please nothing school related." I said, reaching for a cookie and stuffing my face whilst analyzing her pretty one.

"Well, I heard from my mom you are attending a rehab for teens because of, well, a mishap," she bit her lip, "well my brother is going to be attending the same facility, and I wanted to know if you would look out for him.." She looked down, fiddling her fingers.

I glanced up at her, raising an eyebrow. "Wait, you have a brother? A brother going to attend rehab at that? Please explain." I tryed to remember ever seeing anyone with her, failed.

"Yes, I have a brother named Sam, he's nineteen and he's a bit of a rebel," she chuckled, "nothing like me of course." She paused and I looked expectantly at her so she continued. "My mom is worried sick about him because the police forced him to attend, and we aren't allowed to visit him for a while because he needs time away from us, so she figures I could ask you." She looked down at her nail scratching the table. I was confused.

"So you want me to watch over him and then give you guys updates?" I questioned, she nodded in reply. "Sounds interesting, I may just lend you a favor this one time, remember though 'cause you'll owe me." I smirked, and then was caught off guard by her embracing me. Who would've thought the day would come, me and Michelle are hugging!

I quickly nudged her away, trying to be subtle, the situation uncomforted me. I smiled in reply to her thanks and then led her out the door. Watching her leave I realized this was about the oddest few days of my life.

A few hours passed by, my parents came home and cooked and we ate together in silence. Awkward. I quickly retreated to my room after being reminded to pack around a million times and pulled out a suitcase. I stuffed it with everything I needed, including my stuffed monkey Rufus, I loved that thing. I had a little chat with Matthias on the phone, we made a pretty succesful escape plan. I guess i'll sleep on the thought.

Time for sleep. It was a hard task to sleep with so much on my mind but I managed, and slept like a baby. Tomorrow is the big day.

-THE NEXT DAY-

My mother called me downstairs, but I didn't respond, I then heard her say to my father "she must still be asleep." I was awake, lying in my bed, but I didn't want them to know that. I guess my chances of staying home were as slim as thread. I stretched and got dressed for the day, calling it quits on the escape plan me and Matt made up last night.

As I walked down the stairs I noticed a woman in my house, she was tall, and blonde, and had beautiful legs she could be a model.

"Uh, who's this?" I questioned grumbling at the toast on a plate that mom passed to me. Was it that hard for her to make some pancakes or something?

"You are so rude! Atleast say goodmorning to the woman who is helping you out! This is Kayla, Kayla this is my daughter Arianna." She gestured toward me and Kayla smiled, putting her hand out. I was confused, why was she here?

"Morning...." I saif flatly, taking her hand and shaking it, "yes i'm Arianna, and why have you graced me with your presence?" I wiped my hand on my shorts and continued eating. It wasn't meant to look mean... I was just simply wiping because her hands were sweaty.

"Well, nice to meet you too Arianna," she smiled, knowing I didn't say it first, "I just wanted to welcome you to my teen center." She looked around. "You don't seem packed up and ready to go like your mom said you were?" She glanced over at my mom the same time I did, except her face was a bit more calm.

"Mom, you invited her here to get me so you can get rid of me early in the morning?! It's only nine am!" I took deep breaths to calm down. Why is this even happening. Maybe I can still try to escape? I rolled my eyes. "Whatever, since you want me gone so badly I guess i'll go now, stay here with your fake people surrounding you and I will go to someplace real!" I walked upstairs, collected my bags and brought them down. Kayla was astonished, and then felt a bit guilty for coming so early.

"It's okay, I have a few more kids to pick up I can always come back-" She started but I stopped her.

"No, I want to leave, right now." I walked passed them both and out the door, struggling to carry all the bags at one time. I had a backpack, a purse, a suitcase and a small duffel bag. I may not seem girly, but I may be as girly as those Mary-Kate and Ashley movies.

I stopped and looked back to see if Kayla was following and before I could turn around I felt weight ease off of my body. Someone was grabbing my suitcases. I turned to notice a pretty brunette girl with brown eyes. She smiled at me.

"You look like you need some help, may I?" She gestured toward my bags and I let her take them. "I'm Kate, you my friend, will be my new roommate." She smiled wide whilst turning and walking toward the bus. I stood there for a moment in hesitation. "Coming or not?" She called out in front and my legs started moving before I could will them to.

Well, doesn't seem so bad so far? What's next.....

A/N
