[A/N] Hey! So, it's me, your favorite writer. (I'm just kidding) ⚠️ This is a disclaimer/trigger warning. ⚠️ You might've already deducted this- but this isn't going to be some happy, wholesome story where everyone's fine and dandy. There is going to be mental abuse, manipulation, and some other screwed-up shit like Stockholm Syndrome and kidnapping and hostage situations... on top of that, Jeremy's underage so bear that in mind- all that said, please decide if you're okay reading all that. If you are, well, come enjoy the drama- let's find out how fucked-up my mind can get.

When Jeremy Gilbert woke up the next day, he was not in his bed. At first, in his hazy and tired freshly awoken state, he figured he must've fell asleep at Tyler's again. His boyfriend could never bring himself to wake him up, always thinking Jeremy looked too peaceful and didn't want to impose.

However, this was not the case. He jolted awake after he attempted to rub his eyes, but found his arms attached to two walls with chains. They were tied above his head each on their respective side, almost like a he was doing a frozen jumping jack, but he was on his knees.

"What the hell!" He shouted into the empty room. It wasn't a scary room or anything by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it was quite nice. The walls were painted a homely red and there was antique but charming furniture scattered around it in a typical fashion. It would look perfectly normal if it weren't for the teenage boy abducted by a psychopath chained to the wall.

Only silence responded to his cry. He yanked his arms towards his body in an attempt to tear the chains off but deep down he knew he wasn't strong enough. These were surely chains made for hybrids like Tyler or vampires like Stefan and Damon. Still, he wrapped his hands around the thick rings of metal and pulled. He had to try- he couldn't give in this early, not when he knew nothing about the situation.

"Come on!" He begged, muttering underneath his breath to the rattling bonds keeping him in place. Suddenly, Jeremy heard a noise. He froze and held his breath, just in case it was something dangerous. You had to be cautious when you were chained to a wall.

It wasn't. It was a man, once Jeremy felt he had seen before but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He wasn't tall, no taller than any other vampire he knew, but he held himself in a way that was intimidating. By looking at him you would know not to step out of line or there would be consequences. And of course, he was drop-dead gorgeous. Jeremy was beginning to feel overwhelmed by all the men in this town- notably the vampires.

"Well." He spoke, his european accent making the trapped boy suspicious of who he could be. Was this one of Klaus' infamous siblings? "This is certainly a new development."

The potential-Mikaelson-brother was stood hands behind his back at the far end of the room, and Jeremy watched him warily.

"Jeremy Gilbert, isn't it?" Was his first question.

"Yeah." Jeremy answered, hesitant. He didn't know this man, so why would he know him?

"Hello there. My name is Elijah. Elijah Mikaelson."

The name clicked pieced everything together in Jeremy's head. Yes, he was a Mikaelson brother. He also remembered his sister mentioning the name. They had some sort of deal going on or something, Jeremy didn't really know. He had a tendency not to pay attention when his sister was speaking.

And secondly, he figured out this obviously had something to do with Klaus. Was he being held hostage? Is there another thing Niklaus needs from his friends? Jeremy figured he'd ask Elijah- if Elena trusted him, he could too, right?

"Why am I here?"

He seemed to think about it for a moment. "I'm honestly not sure, but I'm assuming it had to do with my brother's infatuation with you."

This took Jeremy by surprise. "His... infatuation with me?"

Elijah had to be kidding- there was no way a thousand year-old vampire who could have anything and anyone he wanted had a crush on him, the one boy who didn't want him. Klaus killed his aunt Jenna for fuck's sake, almost killed both his sister and his boyfriend, and now he kidnapped him? What was he thinking?

"Yes. I've found it quite obvious recently. This doesn't happen to Niklaus very often, and when it does, he doesn't know how to handle it very well." He studied the boy and the situation he was in, and nodded once. "As you've clearly discovered."

"This is insane! Can you let me out?" He yanked on the chain again for extra effect.

"I believe I could, even though those chains are some of the strongest I've ever known. However I do not have the keys, and breaking them might hurt you. I wouldn't want to upset Niklaus..." He approached the trapped teenager to inspect his cuffs.

"I've been hurt before, come on." Jeremy pushed the man, feeling his arms and hands begin to fall asleep. He knew they'd go numb if he didn't get out of here or move anytime soon.

Elijah made eye contact with the boy, trying to get a read on his body language and the type of person he was. Elijah had gotten quite good at this in all his years of life. He was torn between his promise to Elena Gilbert to protect all of her loved ones and his love for his own brother. Niklaus must have a plan- he wouldn't do something like this so spontaneously if he hadn't. And maybe, just maybe, he had a shot with the Gilbert boy. He couldn't ruin that for his younger sibling.

Lips in a tight line, because he didn't like going against his word to Elena, he decided he needed to speak with his brother about this. "One moment please. I will return shortly. Wait here."

"Where else would I go?!" Jeremy shouted angrily at the vampire who'd already sped off. He pulled on his chain again, the noise helping with his frustration.

"Niklaus?" Elijah found his brother on the other side of the house they were currently living in, sipping on what was most likely blood and reading what looked like grimoires. "Care to explain why there's a teenage boy whom I swore to protect locked up in our guest room?"

Klaus just grinned. "Because, Elijah. I'm going to make him mine."

"Oh boy. Here we go again." Elijah shut his eyes and sighed. His brother sure was something else.

[A/N] Not a super long one, but I hope you enjoyed!

Also, I decided I love Elijah and I want to give him a side-story/sub-plot... I was leaning towards some Delijah or even some Alaric and Elijah... what to you guys think? I also love Hayley but considering this us season 2-ish they wouldn't have met her yet. I might bring her in anyway, she's so freaking cool :)

Anyway, have a nice day/night and much love,

chantivera 🖤
