Meeting the Gilbert boy had thrown Klaus very off track. He let himself think about the boy for a while, before (with the help of his now-released-from-her-tomb dear sister Rebekah) continuing his initial plan.

Currently, the siblings were in a high school gymnasium. More specifically, Mystic Falls High's gymnasium. Niklaus had Tyler Lockwood in his grasp and Elena, Matt and Bonnie stood around him staring in horror.

"I think we all know why we're here." Klaus said to the three friends. "I want to make hybrids, and, well, you all know how to."

No one knew what to say, on top of not wanting to provoke Klaus somehow. Just as Bonnie opened her mouth to speak, desperate to explain that she in fact did not know how to make vampire-werewolf hybrids safely, another soul joined the party.

Jeremy Gilbert came bounding through the gym doors, heart beating way too fast and overgrown brown hair sticking to his forehead due to the unreasonable amount of sweat that rested there. Elena shouted, "Jer!" at the same time he called out, "Tyler!"

Tyler's head whipped up and he looked like a brand new wave of adrenaline washed over him. "Jer!" His voice cracked and he fought once more against Klaus' inescapable grasp. He, of course, didn't escape.

Jer ran forward but Elena stopped him from getting too close to Klaus by grabbing him by the waist. Due to Jeremy's momentum, they both stumbled ahead a bit. "Let go of me, 'Lena!"

She didn't respond. Tyler's eyes saddened at the sight. This was going to be so much harder with Jeremy there. He couldn't bear the thought of Jeremy witnessing what very well could be his death...

The youngest Gilbert looked up to meet Klaus' eyes. The older man's stomach tightened as it had the first time they met, and he froze up a bit. He lost his train of thought and he almost lost his grip on the werewolf in his arms.

Nik had thought that maybe now since it had been a couple days since he'd seen the brunette, that wouldn't happen again.

He was wrong. He blinked, and Rebekah snapped her elegant, painted-red fingers in his face, noticing his off behavior. "Nik?"

Jeremy was becoming aware of the effect he had on the vampire. He didn't like it or want it, but it could be useful. "Please," he muttered, as heart-achingly as possible. It wasn't difficult, he would've had a harder time acting anything else. "Don't do this."

The look on his face was one Klaus didn't like. The boy looked scared and sad. He much preffered the adorable blush he'd managed to get out of him the other day.

It almost, almost made him let go of Tyler.

"I have to." He suddenly decided, quickly snapping Tyler's neck before anyone even noticed him move.

"NO!" Jeremy cried out, a sob tearing at his throat. He thrust his body forward, breaking free of his sister's hold on his body and fell onto his knees by Tyler's limp figure. He had a flash of déja-vu to the first time he'd met Klaus in person, when he'd done the exact same thing. He scowled at that thought, feeling his hatred for the Original bubble. Then he tried to blink away his wet eyes, thinking that it would be really embarrassing to cry in front of all these people.

Matt frowned deeply, knowing from all his talks with his best friend how crazy the two teens were for each other. Tyler has had a crush on the little Gilbert since the boy was a freshman, and Matt knew it.

Klaus stared at the two, beginning to feel jealous at how much the boy he liked worshipped the no-good Lockwood. How good would it be and feel to be in Tyler's place? To have such a beautiful boy's complete love and loyalty?
