Amy stopped in the long, island-like plantain. She glanced at the tall, brown sign with the very unimpressed cartoon burger, staring at her with a confused expression, as if wondering why she was there in the first place. Amy sighed, as the burger's expression seemed to reflect her main emotion: confusion.

She took a few steps inside to see her friends Tails, Knuckles, and Sticks. She sighed in relief, noticing that the blue hedgehog that she wouldn't mention was nowhere to be seen.

"Hi guys..." Amy gloomily greeted her Team Sonic teammates. She glanced at the waiter that stopped by, and placed her elbow on the table, her head steadily resting on her hand. Amy Rose wasn't in the mood for much conversation.

Her three friends glanced at each other, confused as why their friend, one of the most cheerful, yet realistic, people that they knew wasn't her usual cheerful self. She was the backbone of Team Sonic, after all. Any time they needed a leader to guide them through a problem, Amy was always the one to give them all that they needed to be considered a true team. That was one of the reasons that she was loved by all of Hedgehog Island. Well, except for Sonic, that is.

The muscular, red echidna, also known as Knuckles, glimpsed at his prickly friend with an utterly flabbergasted impression. He slightly leaned toward Sticks and their two-tailed friend, covering one side of his mouth with a curved palm. "What's up with her?" he asked them, trying to make sure that the girl in question didn't hear those few words.

Unfortunately, he wasn't paying attention to his volume, and as a result, he quickly looked to his right to see a heavy glare with emerald eyes from Amy. Tails quickly hid under the table, and peeked over the wooden edge.

However, that wasn't all that Amy had to say. "What do you mean, "What's up with me?" I'm upset, is that so wrong?" But right before any of her friends could reply, she apologized. "I'm sorry guys," she said remorsefully. "I'm just...a little...tired, right now, that's all. But I shouldn't have taken it out on you."

Her three fuzzy friends stared at each other, their once alarmingly risen fur starting to calmly lay along their skin normally again. They all sighed in relief. All of them had learned the hard way the consequences of making their pink hedgehog friend mad.

But before any of her fuzzy allies could ask Amy what was bothering her, a tour bus quickly stopped in front of the small burger joint. All the people there gasped with shock when suddenly, the purple bus opened and out rolled a red carpet. Yep. With gold edges and everything.

There was a skinny green bird with purple and blue feathers, who looked to be the driver of the purple tour bus. "Your meal awaits, sir," he told someone, with a surprisingly gruff voice.

Then, Amy and her friends saw a blue hedgehog walk out. He looked to be about 14-years-old and had ice blue fur. His quills with black tips were long and laid along his side, his bangs swiped into a flawless curve. He wore a black leather belt with a gold buckle, and a black leather jacket. To complete his look, he had purple eyes that Amy saw sparkle in the sunshine, and he wore blue and purple shoes, with a sparkling gold color in the bottom.

Amy knew that she was blushing, as she felt this uncontrollable heat rushing on her cheeks. She had never seen someone so...cute before. Well, except for Sonic. She felt her heart skip a beat when his eyes met hers. As much as she wanted to, she found herself unable to look away.

All of a sudden, girls came screaming towards the boy, almost trampling him as they surrounded him in a foggy cloud of adoring screams.

"OMG! It's Zane!" One high pitched voice chirped.
