Dream a little dream of Me

Derek woke before Adalida and made sure to disappear before she woke and discovered him in her bed.  He could smell food being cooked so he knew someone was awake as he headed down.

"Well if it isn't my angel's mate.  Good morning Derek.  It's nice to meet you in person after first seeing you in my vision.  We need to talk so I'm glad we have this chance alone.  Please sit dear." Viola said as she continued cooking.

Derek took a seat at the island and waited for her to talk.  He couldn't help but feel like he was already in trouble for something he's yet to do.

"So I have to say that I foresaw you behaving stupid.  I can tell you that I foresaw two paths for you and my daughter.  In one path you don't listen to me and you commit your stupidity.  You lose my daughter.  Mates don't HAVE to be together.  It's really hard on mates if they choose to not be together.  She'll be hurt, her wolf will hurt, for a long time.  But they will move on and be blessed again.  But you won't.  As the one who cast his mate away, you will pay.  You won't be blessed again and you'll spend your life as just a shell of yourself always yearning for her.  The other path shows you listening to me and you'll be happy with my daughter." Viola explained.

"I would never cast her away!  We haven't even completed the mate bond and I already don't want to be away from her." Derek said disbelievingly.

"You say that but you do.  The fates haven't shown me what's coming but something is.  Something that makes you think that in order to protect your mate you have to cast her away.  Not long after you do you begin seeing someone else hoping to lessen the pain your feeling.  That may not be cheating in the human world but in the world of mates?  It is.  And that she will never forgive.  Ever.  Not that I blame her.  I wouldn't forgive you either.  She deserves better than that.  The things we're shown are so that we can change them.  We aren't shown everything because some things are meant to happen as fate intends.  This doesn't have to happen which is why I was shown.  I hope you make the right choice." Viola said.

Derek said nothing and just simply nodded.  He was right to think he was in trouble for something he hasn't even done yet.  He didn't know what was coming but he'll be damned before he forever loses his mate.

"Also, if you intend to be a good alpha then you'd best listen to other's opinions.  Especially your Luna." Viola said to him sternly.

"I'm not an Alpha." Derek said confused.

Viola just winked at him before turning back to her kids favorite food.

"Moooooooooooooooooooom!!  Do we smell shrimp wrapped in bacon in grits?" The twins called in unison as they came thundering downstairs.

"Yes my darlings you do." Viola sang out to her twins.

"Where's daddy?" Coraline asked.

"He's patrolling his territory.  He smelled another Alpha werewolf passing through it." Viola said.

"He should have waited for Addie then." Violette said with a frown.

"He isn't alone.  Scott is out there with him.  He's teaching Scott." Viola answered.

"He is?" Derek asked with his brows raised.

"Yes.  I saw Scott sort of imprint on Allison.  Meaning he makes her his anchor and we can't have that.  She's not his mate anyways so she shouldn't be his anchor.  So my mate wants to show him how to be his own anchor so that doesn't happen." Viola said with a shrug.

I woke up slowly feeling like I'd just had the best sleep of my life.  I rolled over and inhaled the scent of a sexy stud named Derek.  Wait-what?  What is his scent doing in my bed.  Ivory growled at him being in our territory without our approval.  I got up and stomped to my bathroom where I washed up and then dressed before heading down.
