Mayhem under the Full Moon

Finally Jackson's second full moon was upon us and so he showed up on our territory during day light to ensure he was here in time.  

"What if I really don't turn?" Jackson asked nervously.

"Then you're dying.  There are only two options Jackson.  You either shift or you die.  While you haven't been your healthiest with the bleeding from the ears and such you also haven't died.  Plus, your hearing has increased and such.  So you must be having a difficult transition but you are transitioning." I said.

As the sun began to set my family and I went ahead and shifted.

He doesn't smell right, Ivory and I said in unison.

"What does that mean?" Derek asked as he looked at Jackson.

Don't alert him.  We'll know what it means soon enough, I said.

As the full moon rose above the rest of the pack shifted under her glory except for Derek.  He broke out into a sweat and seemed to be having trouble.

"You appear to be fighting it.  You have to let go.  Just envision looking like us and it should happen naturally." Derek said in his guttural wolf tone.

"I'm trying." Jackson grunted.

I watched as his eyes appeared snake like and let out a gasp in our mind that my pack heard.  Jackson then almost immediately shifted into the Kanima as I was warning everyone.  He began lashing out at those near and paralyzed them before taking off to probably murder someone.  I shifted back to human as I ran to Cora who was one of the paralyzed wolves.

"G-go.  G-get h-him.  H-help." Cora stuttered out.

I looked at my dad who nodded.  I shifted and my pack took off after Jackson while my dad's pack stayed to attend to the paralyzed.  As we rushed the woods we could pick up on hunters but also on a woman screaming.  We avoided the hunters and headed for the woman.  We arrived at a trailer in the middle of the woods.  Immediately we saw a dead body hanging out of the trailer but clearly the woman was still alive.  I shifted back to my human form as I entered the trailer.

"Are you ok?" I asked hurriedly.

"No!  My baby is coming.  Please help." The woman cried.  

"Shit." I whispered.  

I was cursing because their vehicle had been destroyed by the Kanima.  At that moment a familiar jeep pulled up and I easily picked the woman up and rushed to it.

"The rest of you get back to safety before the hunters get you.  Stiles and I will get her to the hospital and alert the police." I rushed out as I got her into the jeep.

"Stay safe my love." Derek said as he kissed my temple before rushing off with our pack.

"Stiles I can already see you freaking out so I'll drive your jeep.  Move out the way and call your dad." I ordered.

"Yes ma'am!" Stiles said as he ran to the passenger side.

I took off like a bat out of hell as he called his dad.

"Dad!  The Kanima struck.  He left a body in the middle of the woods.  There isn't an address as they were literally living out of a trailer in the middle of the woods.  If you meet me at the hospital I can show you.  He left the pregnant woman alive.  We're on our way there now." Stiles spit out rapidly.

I heard Sherriff Stilinski agree to meet us and continued speeding.

"Why did he leave her alive?" Stiles asked once off the phone.

"Remember the Kanima will refuse to hurt an innocent?  There's a baby in her so while she's considered guilty the baby isn't.  Speaking of what do you and your husband have in common with that auto repair man and Mr. Lahey?" I asked the woman.

"Swim team!  Lahey was coach." The woman shouted out in pain.

"So someone has it out for the entire swim team from their year.  Why?" I asked.

"Drowned.  Kid drowned.  Kept quiet." She screamed.

I didn't want to keep bothering her when she was in labor and I figured that was enough information.  Soon we were pulling up to the hospital.  We go the woman admitted and Stiles took off with his dad.  I left with Derek who had arrived to pick me up and took me back home.  We met with my family and sat down.

"So what do we know?" Armand asked.

"She told me they were all on the swim team.  Mr. Lahey was their coach.  There was a drowning that was hushed up.  So someone isn't happy and wants revenge." I said.

"Oh.  Oh shit.  I had this friend back then named Matt.  He would come over to look at my comic collection and such.  I don't know for sure that he drowned at my house.  But he arrived when I was in my room.  My dad was having a celebration with the swim team.  They were out back in the pool drunk.  Something happened.  I went out to meet Matt and he was next to the pool soaking wet and looked terrified.  He never talked to me again.  He might be the victim?  But I can't say for sure since I didn't witness it.  I just know he was wet when I saw him." Isaac said.

"I should warn Allison.  He's been obsessed with her and they had a date recently.  I'm the only one that still talks to her but even I don't talk to her that much so I don't know how it went.  But I should warn her." Lydia said.

"Yes please do.  Meanwhile this Matt kid has suddenly befriended Jackson.  I've seen him hanging around him and Danny.  So he is a strong possibility.  In fact he got Jackson the camera so who better to edit it?  He's looking more guilty by the second but we need to make sure." I said.

However, by morning we already knew for sure.  Someone went into the hospital and snuffed the woman out.  Literally held a pillow over her face Care Bear and Kitty Kat style and suffocated her.  Thankfully she'd already given birth.  We had already alerted Stilinski who reviewed camera footage and found Matt in the hospital at the time.  He was now an active suspect but also a missing suspect.  All we could do was hope to find him before it was too late since we knew Gerard was after ownership of the Kanima. 

Meanwhile at the Argent household a certain Momma Argent had been bit by an alpha and she pinned it on Derek and Scott.  She wanted to make sure her daughter would never go back to Scott.  That night with the help of her husband they ended her life with a Gerard ready to happily manipulate his granddaughter.
