"shit shit shit, what am i gonna do??" noah mumbled to himself.
"okay thick neck, you cannot panic right now. you have to save your friends!" he thought.

the huge beast turned around swinging noen to the left.
"NO NO NO NO-" noen said, squealing in fear.

"NOEN-" noah swam around the animal and got hold on the boy.

"-help help help help.." noen mumbled.

"don't worry, it'll be fine just wait." noah said.

did he know what he was doing?
no.
did he have faith in himself?
also no.
was he in full panic and hyperventilating silently in fear of his and his friends lives?

"YOU BIG GREEN NASTY ONE EYED EXCUSE OF A CEPHALOPODS, LET ME GO!" larray shouted, hitting at its tentacle.

the octo-clops swung him left, then right.

"WOOOAHHH-" larray said.

"fucking god.." noah said.
"noah, relax. it's fine. everything is going to be fine, just use your brain and figure something out." he thought.

"WHY ME? I'M TOO PRETTY TO DIE! AND SINGLE!" ellie said.

"I THINK I'M GONNA THROW UP-" dixie shouted, the monster swinging her back and fourth.
he face turned a bright green color like in the cartoons as she gagged and became more nauseated.

"DON'T PUKE, NOT IN THE FACE MASK!" chase shouted.

"what the FUCK!" noen screamed.
he was directly in front of its disgusting huge eyeball.

"guys, i thinK I SEE THE MOUTH, I THINK I SEE THE MOUTH-" dixie shouted.

"relax guys! we're going to be fine, i'm gonna figure this out." noah said.

"you? saving us?!" chase asked.

"we're fucking goners." larray said.

noah sighed and rolled his eyes.
he looked around the water to see if he could find some type of floating plastic or something he could his the octopus with, but had no luck.

then, he got an idea.
he swam over to chase, and grabbed the hooked lynch from his bag.
he quickly went the animal from behind, and aimed at it-
but when he fired he had no luck.
he gave it a quick tap on the head, nothing to feel at all from the hit.

he put the lynch in the side of his bag, and began swimming to the bottom of the abyss.
he started to grab big rocks, and coral reefs.

"i hope i can get to the top from here.." he mumbled.

he started to push himself up directly.
it was hard, but he made it.

he quickly threw the rocks and coral direct ally at the animal head as fast as he could.
"HEY BUDDY!" he shouted.

the animal turned in the direction of him, swinging his friends with him.

"I'M OVER HERE!" he said.

if saving his friends meant facing his fears and being the bait, then the bait he would be.

noah swam across the octopus, just watching as it tried to grab him with its loose tentacles.

he swam back and fourth around it, watching it try and chase him.

as it spun back and fourth in circles, following the boy, it started letting the other go unaware of its actions.

"CMON BIG BOY, COME GET ME!"

"IM THIS WAY!"

"A LITTLE MORE TO THE RIGHT!"

if he would be honest, noah was having fun at this point.

eventually, the large animal dropped all his friends and became extremely dizzy, giving them a chance to get away.

"cmon, we need to go now!" noah said.

they all began to swim back up, before it started to chase them.

they finally got up to land.

"everyone here?" noah asked.

"noen's coming up now." dixie said, kneeling down to grab the boys hand as he started to reach the top.

suddenly, he was grabbed and sucked down by the octo-clops.

"NOEN-" chase shouted.

noah quickly jumped back into the way and grabbed noen's arms, and started to kick at its huge tentacle.

"let go! let- go!" he kicked and pushed at the animal, until it finally let go.

the two swam back to the top, and got onto the land.

chase quickly ran over to the smaller boy and hugged him, picking him up by his waist.
"you're okay!"

"i am." noen said, hugging the boys shoulders tightly.

"i thought i was going to lose you." chase said.

"not while i'm around." noah said.

"thank you noah. i owe you big time." noen said, turning to noah.

"just being my best friend is enough." noah smiled.

"man, did i misjudge you." larray chuckled.

"you always do." noah said.
"just kidding. it's alright."

they both smiled and chuckled.

"okay, so where are we now?" ellie asked.

"guys. you might wanna take a look here." dixie said.
she was at the end of the cliff like land, looking down.

he others moved and looked down as well to see that they were at the top of a giant rocky trench.

"uh-" noen started.

"are we-" ellie started.

"we're in arizona. this is the grand fucking canyon." chase said.

"great. well, we better get climbing down. we gotta get home somehow." noah said.

"fearless now, are we?" dixie teased.

"well, i've got the lynch." noah said.

"no you don't. my lynch, it was on my bag. so i'll take that." chase said.
he quickly grabbed the lynch from noah, and handed it to noen.

"and i want noen to have it." he said.

"chase, no. i'll be fine without it." noen said.

"i know. but i want to make sure." chase said.

"great. now i got no lynch." noah said.

"well, sucks to suck doesn't it. let's get a move on." larray said.

and with that, they were off to get home.

with them some luck.
