"𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹." larray said, looking around the little boat.

"can we all just be grateful that this man is bringing us home?" noah said.

"oh don't you worry about it. wish you woulda' gotten trapped on that island last week! i had a much nicer boat then." the man chuckled.

the man running the boat was awfully nice, he made sure everyone was comfortable in his place so they could leave.

noen sat on the floor next to chase, who was sleeping with his head in his lap.
"don't worry baby. we'll be home in no time." he mumbled.

dixie noticed the sleeping and frowned.
"do you have any rooms here? like somewhere we could sleep?"

"oh of course! they're right down that hall, theres only three so you should be able to have two people in a room." the man smiled.

"thanks!" she said.
she quickly tapped noah on the shoulder and whispered something into his ear.

he nodded and smiled.
noah quickly knelt in front of noen and grabbed chase, carrying him off to one of the rooms.

noen smiled and followed behind him.
"you're such a softie."

"i know, don't rub it in." noah said.
he gently placed chase down onto the bed and left the room, closing the door.
"goodnight bud."

"goodnight."
noen mumbled.
he slowly laid down next to chase and watched as he slept.

a few hours after falling, noen felt a little shifting next to him.

it was gentle at first.
but then it got a bit more rough.

he felt as if the entire boat was moving; like if he was endangered.

then, he heard quiet noise.
it was a bit of a fearful moan, it wasn't satisfying or seemed pleasurable at all-

suddenly, he hearses a gasp.

he opened his eyes to see chase.
he sat up on the bed, his hands over his face breathing heavily.

"hey?" noen mumbled, placing his hand on his back.

chase jumped a little before turning to him.
he sighed in relief before laying back down on his side.

"hi." he said, trying to smile.

noen frowned and scooted closer to him.
we wiped the tears from his cheeks and kissed him all over his face.

"what's wrong angel?" he asked.

"just another nightmare. i'm okay." the other said.
he wrapped his arms around his waist and kissed his cheek.
"thank you."

"for what?" noen asked.

"being here for me." chase said.

"i've always been here for you, no matter how distant we were. i'm always going to be here with you." noen said.

"i appreciate you baby." chase said.
he pressed his forehead to noen's and smiled.

noen giggled and wrapped his arms over chase's shoulders.
"let's go to sleep. no more nightmares. i'll keep you safe."

chase nodded and flipped them over so noen was laying on top of him.
"goodnight lovey."

"goodnight."
noen said.

and with that, they peacefully drifted off to sleep.
little did they know, the day to come would not be peaceful at all.
