Today on your way over to the water tower you were feeling a bit off, you felt more tired than usual and you had a cough. When you knocked on the door Yakko answered.
"Hey ___, come in." he said, eyeing you. He noticed something was off. "You feeling alright?"
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine." Then you immediately started coughing.
Dot and Wakko poked their heads out from around the corner.
"Is ___ sick?" Wakko asked.
Dot jumped on you and stuck a thermometer in your mouth. "Well, they have a fever." she said, pulling out a little stethoscope and holding it up to your chest. "Honey, your lungs sound terrible. We're gonna need to start treatment right away."
"Treatment?" you asked, confused, as she pushed you onto the couch and Yakko tucked you in with a blanket. You wiggled your way out and sat up. "Guys I'm fine, honest."
The three gave you a skeptical look, and you felt a sneeze coming on. Just then Wakko came running in with tissues and shoved one in your face just before you sneezed.
"Okay, maybe I am a little sick." you admitted and fell back down on the couch.
Yakko leaned over the back of the couch and looked down at you. "Don't worry, we'll take gooooood care of you."
Dot put the tv on in the background and Yakko brought you a bowl of warm soup. He set the bowl in your lap and picked up the spoon.
"I'm not a baby, I don't need to be fed." You said, raising a brow.
Yakko put the spoon in front of your face. "Here comes the airplane." he said before you snatched it out of his hand.
He leaned over to Wakko. "Cranky baby." he whispered, pointing his thumb at you.
You finished the soup and Yakko came back with medicine, the gross kind.
"Aw, please don't make me drink that." you said, sinking into the couch.
"You need to, it'll help you get better faster." he said, sitting next to you.
"But why would I want to get better when I have you guys taking care of me?" you said with a cheeky grin.
"Cause if you get any of us sick I'm kicking you out." he put his hands on his hips.
You frowned at him. "Fine, but gimme the spoon." You reached out to grab it but he pulled it away.
He poured medicine into the spoon and held it up to you. You reluctantly drank it, scrunching up your face at the taste.
"See, now was that so bad?" he asked you with a chuckle.
"Yes." you answered, your face still scrunched from the aftertaste.
He handed you a glass of water and you drank it all, hoping to wash away the medicine, and it did. You set the glass on the coffee table and leaned back on the couch, Yakko sitting next to you. He wrapped the blanket all the way around you and you laid down, resting your head on his lap. He blushed and started gently stroking your hair. It was so soothing, and you quickly fell asleep.
When you woke up it was later in the day and Yakko had fallen asleep in the same position he was in when you fell asleep, his hand resting on your shoulder. You sat up and shook him slightly, waking him up.
"Hey, sorry for trapping you on the couch." you said.
He rubbed his eyes and yawned. "Nah, it's alright, I needed a nap too anyway." He stretched, leaning back on the couch, and you took the opportunity to poke his side, causing him to scrunch up. "Ah!" He looked over at you "Rude."
