CHAPTER 14
jealously

momo was never a selfish person , she was always sweet and kind but now that she has her first ever crush, she's become selfish in a way.

momo wasn't close with y/n although she found her sweet. y/n always kept to herself and to her friends so maybe that why they aren't close or maybe momo just didn't want to get close to y/n.

having a crush changed momo in a way , she doesn't know if it's a positive or negative change. maybe if she was friends with y/n would she respect the fact that y/n also likes jirou but they aren't so she doesn't care.

when momo over heard y/n and her friends talk about how'd she confess to jirou, a part of her felt sad since there is a possibility that jirou would chose y/n. but then she started comparing herself to y/n, she realized she had so much more to offer and to give to jirou than y/n could possibly give her.

once they all got to the dorms she decided she'd finally confess her feeling to jirou.

"hey can i come in" momo asked smiling at jirou

"yeah of course, we were going to hang out either way today"

"oh right yeah"

it's now or never momo she thought to herself.

"hey jirou i have something i want to tell you"

"yeah whats up momo" jirou said sitting on her bed.

"you and i are really good friends but i want more than that"

"what do you mean?"

"i mean i want us to be more than friends , i want us to go out like dating" momo said softly as she looked down at her lap.

"look momo , you and i are really good friends and i'm very grateful for having you in my life but i don't like you like that"

"just one date , you could change your mind right after"

"momo , i like someone else and i don't want hurt you"

"who is it?"

"uh i rather not say i'm not even sure if she likes me back"

"is it y/n"

"yeah" jirou said as her face turn to a light shade of pink

"i didn't want to be the one to tell you this but y/n doesn't like you, i overheard her talking with denki and they were saying how glad they were that you started skipping on the friday nights" momo said immediately feeling bad, she didn't even mean to say those things.

momo finally realized that her change was for the worst, she would've never done this.

"oh did they now" jirou said with teary eyes.

"i'm sorry jirou look maybe i heard them wro-"

"no momo it's fine i'm okay i just want to be alone for now" jirou said cutting her off.

"are you sure"

"mhm"

"okay i'll leave but just know i'm a text away"

"thank you momo" jirou smiled at the girl as she walked out the room.

y/n on the other side of the dorm was panicking, she knew that she could never compare to momo but maybe there was a slight chance that she'd be the one for jirou.

she knocked on the door and jirou opened it, instead of the warm smile jirou usually gives her, she looked hurt and sad maybe even angry.

"hey are you okay"

"yeah i'm perfectly fine l/n don't worry about me"

"but you're one my closest friends of course i'm going to worry about you"

"see l/n , i don't even want to be friends with you anymore"

"huh"

"you should be glad though, that way i'll never be at another friday night"

"what are talking about jirou what's going on"

"nothing l/n just leave please"

"oh okay" she said quietly as she walked away from jirous room.

jirou had interest in y/n since the first time she laid eyes on her, and when they started hanging her feelings for the h/c girl grew more but now that momo has told these things she didn't want to be near y/n. she felt so hurt and confused.

back in y/n's dorm, she laid on her bed as the her friends asked her what happened.

"jirou hates me"

"she doesn't hate y/n , what even happened"

"i don't know she was saying how she doesn't want to be friends with me , and how i should glad about that when all i want is to be with her" y/n said starting to feel her 2nd heartbreak ever.
