the h/c girl currently sat on her bed , playing her guitar as thousands thoughts ran across her mind. half of them being about jirou.

she picked up her phone and texted the one person she could always count on

not even two seconds the girl heard a knock on her door
"come in" she said softly
"hey love are you okay whats up" the boy said as he sat on her bed
"denki , you know how i tell you everything right"
"yes what happened are you okay" the boy said with concern
"i think i'm falling in love" the h/c girl said softly
"oh really how long have you had this crush"
"since we started at the ua"
"why haven't you told me" the boy asked not knowing if he was more upset that his best friend is in love with someone else or that she didn't tell him
"i didn't tell you because then it's makes it real , and i'm scared of falling for her but i really fucking like her and i'm in deep and i'm so scared" the girl said as she buried her face in her knees
"who is she"
"it's jirou"
"oh that's nice , she's really cool" the boy said with his bright smile trying to hide his heartbreak
"what should i do denki , come on you always tell me what to do"
"tell her , sing her a song , maybe she feels the same way and if she doesn't she's missing out on someone great"
"god denki you're the best friend any girl could have you know that right" the girl said as she pulled him into her arms
"yeah i know" he said smiling hugging her back
"you and i for life denki" y/n said grabbing his face smiling so brightly
a lot of things were crossing the boys mind that this moment , how heartbroken he was , how happy he was that his best friend is opening herself up for love , how badly he wanted to be the she loves. in the heat of the moment he did something he never thought he'd do.
he kissed her
crashing his lips onto hers , the girl froze up. she didn't know what to do , but she felt a tear that wasn't hers go on her face and the boy quickly pulled away.
"denki" she spoke softly
"i'm so sorry , i didn't know what came over me shit"
"no denki it's fine it's all good" she said not wanting make him feel any worse
"i'm in love with you and i know you don't love in that way and its fine i don't mind it anymore but i can not be in love with you , ive been so utterly in love with since we met and when you came out, i was so happy for you because you could freely be who are you but its hurts knowing everything we do is just as friends , its hurts because you will never love me the way i love you" the blonde boy said as tears ran down his eyes
"denki look-"
"no its fine its truly my fault because i fell in love with you and you cant control who you love but yeah me and you for life l/n " he said as he walked out the her room
as soon as she heard the door close she broke down into tears , that was the first time he ever called by her last name. she didn't know her best friend was in love with her. she didn't know she was causing him pain. he was right she cant control who she loves. maybe in a different world or universe would she able to love denki the way he loved her but that wasn't the case
staring at her ceiling as tears rolled down her eyes , she couldn't help but believe she lost her best friend despite him just telling her that it would him and her for life.
things would potentially change and the one thing the girl wasn't good with was change.
change was taking something that was comfortable and turning into something unknown.
why change what isn't broken the girl thought to herself. maybe things where broken from a long time ago but she was too blind to see it. her phone started buzzing and she didn't check it since she wasn't in the mood
