A young boy with a burgundy hair can be seen picking up a basket filled with coals on a snowy landscape who continued to wear it.

"Tanjiro?" Another person's voice can be heard. The boy turned around and look at her.

"Your face is covered in soot. Come over here." A woman said to the young boy. He approaches her before she wipes the dirt and stains on his face.

"It's dangerous with all of this snow. You don't have to go, you know." She proceeded to wipe his face. (That rhymes tho...)

"Well, I want everyone to eat their fill on New Year's. So I'm gonna sell as much charcoal as I can." The young boy commented.

"Arigatou." The woman replied.

"Oiii Tanjiro, you don't have to spit out so much wisdom this early in the morning you know. Of course, we're going to get everyone to eat all they want on New Year's" A blonde boy said while approaching the two.

"Mhm, I guess so, (Y/N). Hope we can sell all of these coals to the locals at the village." The boy named Tanjiro said.

"Of course we can, we have been doing this for a year right? Or don't tell me you have become an old man and forget about all of that?" (Y/N) which is the blonde boy put his arm around Tanjiro's shoulder.

"Haha, I think so," Tanjiro replied. They both chuckled. Kie smiled.

"Nii-Chan! (Y/N) Nii-Chan!" A child's voice can be heard. The three look to the side and see two children running up to them.

"You're going to town again today?" Shigeru who has a buzz-cut hair asked.

"I'm going with you!" Hanako the girl beside Shigeru exclaimed. Takeo appeared at the back gasping when he hears that.

"Oh no, you're not." Kie contradicts them.

"You know you can't walk fast like Tanjiro and (Y/N)."

"Kaa-Chan!" Shigeru shouted.

"You may not. Since they can't use the cart today. They won't be able to give you a ride when you're tired."

"But (Y/N) Nii-Chan is strong right?" Hanako asked.

"Eh?" (Y/N) said at the back.

"Indeed but he can get tired too, you know," Kie told them. They both pouted.

"Nii-Chan! (Y/N) Nii-Chan!" Shigeru shouted before tackling them both at the same time. Hanako ran up at both of them.

"I wanna go with you!" Hanako asked while in front of (Y/N).

"I promise I'll help you!" (Y/N) put his hand on her head giving her headpats.

"Thanks, Hanako..." (Y/N) replied, Hanako was visibly happy when she heard that.

"But you're staying home today." (Y/N) told her again.

"Ehhh??" She was disappointed. (Y/N) crouched.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll read a book for you tonight, is that okay?" (Y/N) held out his pinky fingers. Hanako got back to her cheerful self again.
