dream || hyunin

chapter one: new kid

"jeongin! hey!" ryujin says as soon as i walk into the school. i smile at her happily, looping our arms together.

"hi ryu! how was your morning? did you talk to yeji yet?" ryujin punches me with her free arm. i laugh. she's basically in love with yeji, but doesn't like talking about her feelings. "i'm kidding! i love you~"

she smiles a little. "yeah yeah, love you too." 

"guys! guys!" i hear from behind us. we turn around and see yeosang running towards us. "look!!" he shoves his phone into mine and ryujin's faces, smiling broadly. 

"yeosang! you're going to have to hold it where i can actually read it." 

"oh!" he pulls his hands back and gives me the phone. 

i read aloud. "yeosang this is jongho. san gave me your number i hope that's okay." i gasp. yeosang has been crushing on jongho for as long as i could remember. "yeo! i'm so so happy oh my god!" 

yeosang blushes and smiles wider. "anyways, there's a new student!"

"let me guess, i need to show them around?" i say, already knowing the answer.

"yup!" yeosang says, still excited. "oh shit, i have math class. bye guys!" yeosang hugs ryujin and i before running away. (naruto ??) 

"ryu i have to go now." i say, pouting a little. 

"bye jeongie!" she hugs me before i turn and walk away.

i walk towards the office, smiling and saying hi to everyone i pass. when i finally arrive in the office, i see a guy a little taller than me, maybe 2 or 3 inches, with long-ish blond hair. he has full lips and a beauty mark below his eye. 'is he the new kid?' i think. he's handsome, for sure. i smile at him and stick out my hand. "hi, i'm jeongin! nice to meet you!" 

he shakes my hand and says, "hey, i'm hyunjin. nice to meet you too."

i glance at the office lady, miss tiffany, who's printing something out. she passes me the paper with a wink. i blush and study the paper. it is hyunjin's schedule, and, without meaning to, i see his full name. hwang hyunjin. i want to say it aloud, but with him right there, it would be awkward. 

"okay, it looks like you have... english first. hey! we have the same homeroom!" i said, looking up at him. he smiles, causing me to smile back. he was just so pretty and he seemed so nice! i continue. "we actually have a lot of classes together. first, third, fourth and seventh. this should be easy to show you around!"

i show him all his classes, plus the gym, cafeteria, music room and bathrooms. we went to english and of course mr jung made him introduce himself. 

"hello. i'm hyunjin, i just moved here from las vegas. i have a dog named kkami and i'm an only child." i take in all this information as he speaks. i like dogs, one of my best friends had lived in los angeles, but i had two brothers. still, we were kind of the same. 

"great! you can sit behind jeongin and hendery." mr jung says. hyunjin sits down and class continues.

after school has ended, i show hyunjin where to go for buses, cars and bikes before we part. i get on the bus and watch as the school gets smaller and smaller, until we're at my stop. as i open the door to the apartment, i check to make sure nobody is home before i whisper, "hwang hyunjin."
