Dear Draco,
I waited all day long for you to ask me to the ball. Surprise, you never did. Though at least you talked to me today, unlike the past few days. I am thankful for that. Those days when we weren't talking were the worst, I craved just a sentence from you and I never got a single word. I would have been fine with even a smirk, or a brief accidental brush of the hand. It seemed as if you were oblivious to my existence. But now that you are talking to me again, although I still have no idea why you ever stopped in the first place, I hoped that you were going to ask me to be your date. I am still waiting, sitting here in my dorm, all alone. My pillow case is stained wet with my salty tears from the pain that came when you never even mentioned the ball today, or yesterday. I thought at least you would have asked who I am going with, or said that you were going with Pansy. But now that I think about it, I am glad you never mentioned going to the ball with Pansy, I can only assume that you aren't going with her. So that's a win for me, I guess. But I hope you know time is running out, the balls on the 20th, today is the 14th. Other guys have asked me, including Ron and Harry, I lied and said I was already going with someone. They badgered me after about who I am going with, and it pains me to lie to them. Please Draco, just ask me to the ball, it's all I've ever wanted.
