DYNASTY

3/ catch up

"Please don't tell him, Vanessa. I promise I'll tell him." Vanessa laughs. "Honey, you're so naive. Of course, I'm gonna tell him." she laughs louder and leaves.

Anastasia gets stressed out. She tries to decide if she should tell Grant right away or wait for a while to see if Vanessa is bluffing.

She decides it's not worth the risk. Tries to find Grant so she can tell him.

She finally finds Grant with his son. Hears Charles telling him he got engaged. She congratulates them. And chooses not to tell Grant yet. She loves seeing him so happy and doesn't want to ruin that. But it also makes her, even more, stressed thinking about how Vanessa can come and tell Grant everything any second.

While they're talking about the engagement Ann's phone rings. She goes to a little more silent part of the house and answers it. When she hears that voice she freezes.

"Hello, Anastasia." She feels like she can't breathe. She doesn't answer for a while. So he adds "You don't wanna talk to me? That is upsetting."

When she's finally able to talk she says "How is this possible?" with a low voice. She feels like she had lost her voice.

"That's a long story. But thank God I didn't had to try to hard to find you. You're Anastasia Winthrope after all." he says.

"I thought you died." she says. She uses a lot of her energy trying to talk.

"Well, I didn't as you can tell. But if you want evidence I'm right outside the stables. Come here so we can catch up." she agrees. The phone hangs up. She tries to pull herself together. She goes outside. She sees him from distance. Walks towards him.

Nick is waiting for his car when he sees Anastasia. When he recognizes the person she is walking towards he feels shocked. He tries to understand how that person is there and follows Ann to figure out what the living hell is going on.

"You look beautiful, sis." Joaquin says.

"How are you here Joaquin?" Ann asks scaredly. Nick tries to understand how Ann's brother is alive.

"You thought you got rid of me, didn't you? Well, that's too bad. I'm right here and I'm not leaving. And since you are married to a Winthrope now, I think you can be very helpful for me."

"I'm never gonna help you. You should've known that." Anastasia says trying to hide how scared she is.

"I guessed you could say that so I brought a little something." Joaquin says and pulls out a knife. Ann quietly screams when she sees the knife. Nick freezes and can't decide what to do. He's still in shock about Joaquin being alive. He doesn't really understand what is happening but Ann and Joaquin start to fight. Then he sees Joaquin collapse, hears Ann cry. He understands what just happened and screams a little, unwillingly.

Ann tries to clean the knife. Nick sees Vanessa coming. She doesn't see him.

"What are you doing?" asks Vanessa. Anastasia turns to her. She's still in shock. She has a hard time putting the words together.

"Why are you here? You weren't supposed to see this." says Ann. She isn't even sure if she said that out loud. But she realizes words did come out of her mouth when she hears Vanessa.

"Don't tell me you killed the man." They all freeze for a minute.

Ann tries to talk but she can't let the words out. She's speechless. Vanessa turns her head and sees Nick standing. Nick realizes that and turns to her. They look at each other.

"Who is that Ann?" Vanessa says scared. Ann finally snaps out of it and turns to Vanessa. But she's still not able to talk.

"It's her brother." Nick answers. Vanessa tries to understand but nothing makes sense to her. She asks how that happened but she doesn't get an answer. She finally comes to her senses.
