During dinner we continued to discuss the best course of action for what to do with my newly discovered abilities. We decided that it was best if I got trained to maybe become a hero if I was up for the challenge. Mr. Wayne decided that Wayne should train me, since he was closest to my age. Wayne and I were supposed to go to the Manor after school every day. When all was said and done, Chris and I said our goodbyes. He hailed a cab, as I entered the cab, I felt myself buzzing with excitement. But it wasn't for school or anything like that. It was for Damian. That night I laid in my bed, thinking about the future to come.
A few days later, I woke up to get ready for the first day of school. I hadn't seen Wayne since I was at the Manor. I put on my uniform on and. I pulled my hair back in a hairclip, so It wouldn't get in my face while studying. I put on a bit of makeup, which consisted of concealer, mascara, and lip balm, which I remembered to put in my bag. I went to the kitchen to get some cereal and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. I put on my shoes, and went down the many flights of stairs, not wanting to take the elevator so I could avoid my neighbors and the many awkward conversations that come along with it. When I got down on the street, I saw a limo outside. Suddenly the door opened, and Wayne stepped out. "Want a lift, Snow?" he said. "Sure." I shrugged. I for some reason wanted to act cool around him. I got in the limo, finding Drake there. Apparently, he went to Gotham as well. He began having an argument with Wayne about something dumb. We arrived at the rather large private school with students wearing the same as me, swarming the place.
We walked inside the school and saw everyone staring. The guys seemed to be used to it. "Who are they staring at? and why?" Wayne looked at me like he was checking if I was joking or not. "They are staring at you. People stare at us every day, but today they have their focus on you." I blinked a couple of times, trying to understand why I got all the attention. I realized it was because I was new. Wayne was going to show me around, which I didn't mind.
"Here is the gym, and there is the cafeteria..." I zoned out as Wayne explained where everything was. "Are you even listening?" He accurately accused. "TT - yes." I answered. He rolled his eyes, not convinced. "Suurreeee." He answered sarcastically.
Before I knew it my first period of the day began. I had History with Mr. Jensen. History has always been an easy subject for me. When the lesson began, he said: "We have a new student today. Ms. Snow would you like to introduce yourself to the class?" I shrugged and walked to the front. "Hello, my name is Beatrice Snow. I recently moved here from Central City." I introduced myself to the class, trying to sound calm and collected, even though I was a nervous wreck on the inside. I sat down again, trying to focus on the lesson.
Next, I had English and Math, which turned out to go smoothly. I found out I had the same schedule as Wayne. Coincidence? I thought not. Someone probably hacked my schedule. Then lunch. I was not exited for this one. I got my food and began to look around for a table. Not even a minute later Wayne came over to me since he was a bit behind me in the lunch line. "Let's go Snow. Drake should be here soon." I gave a small smile, relief washing over me. We walked over to a table in the corner and sat down.
I was bored, and began asking Wayne random questions like what his favorite animal was etc. I originally thought he would get annoyed at the small talk, but he didn't mind. Drake got there a few minutes earlier, also seeming surprised. "What's your favorite color, Snow?" "Light blue or sage green." We talked like this for the entire break, occasionally asking Drake about him, so he could be included. Every time I asked about Drake, he got kind of weird. He would scoff and become distant. He seemed jealous. Why would he be jealous?
The rest of my classes were a daze. We got picked up by Alfred, and we were making our way to the Manor. I was a tad nervous about being trained by Damian. I took self-defense classes and a few fighting classes because my mom needed me to know how to fight, in case she turned, or something went wrong. We made it to the Manor, and I was in one of the many bathrooms, changing into some gym clothes. Black leggings, black sports bra, and a navy sweatshirt. After changing I walked into gym with a boxing ring and a big mat was rolled out. I assumed I was going to be on the mat for training. Wayne came in the gym, wearing a tight t-shirt which hugged his fit body perfectly, and a pair of basketball shorts. I smiled determinately. I was ready.
A/N: a lot happens in this chapter. Thanks for reading! I really try to make some sort of decent content. It might not be a long chapter, but I still did my best. I will probably post another chapter sometime this weekend. Anyways, see ya!
