Today was the day of the First Tournament. Your heart ached from your argument with Cedric last night. You and Hermione walked to the Quidditch Pitch for the first task. The two of you had bonded from being the handful of 'Muggle Borns' who had been selected to come to Hogwarts and had been friends ever since.

"Save me a seat, please Hermione? I need to go speak to Cedric first." Hermione was the only person who knew about the argument from last night, and she nodded in reply, before hurrying over to the stands.

Walking over to the Champions tent, you repeated your apology under your breath. Just as you were about to go inside, a strong, firm hand grabbed yours, swirling you around to face them. "Mudblood, what are you doing? We need to get a seat." Draco spoke, before pulling you over to the stands.

Just as Draco scared some first years out of their front-row seat and helped you into yours, the alarm went, indicating the first task was meant to start now. You groan, as there went your last chance of speaking to Cedric.

Bouncing your knee up and down, as your hand shook. Draco intertwined his fingers with yours in an attempt to calm you down. "What if he gets hurt?" You said, worriedly.

"Calm down Lucy. He'll be fine." Draco said reassuringly and he let go of you and wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you closer.

"But I can't help but worry. What if he dies?"

"As much as I loathe the guy, he's got tactics. I know that from playing against him. Anyway look, he's first." Draco said, pointing to the arena.

Cedric stepped out of the tent and his eyes landed on you. You sent him a smile, but he sent you a cold gaze in return. He hadn't forgiven you.

The Dragon made an appearance and Cedric ducked behind the cover to avoid the Dragon's fire breath. He threw a rock across the arena and it distracted the dragon for a second and it gave Cedric time to run to the next cover, a lot closer to the egg.

You were on the edge of your seat by now. "He'll be fine, Darling." Draco spoke, but even he looked uneasy.

You ignored Draco as you watched Cedric make an attempt for the egg. The dragon saw him but it wasn't quick enough as Cedric grabbed the egg and ducked behind the cover again.

Everyone shot up and cheered. You, of course the loudest.

"Let's go congratulate him." You said and you stood up and took Draco's hand and pulled him down the steps and  over to the champions tent.

"Cedric?" You said as you opened the tent flap.

You saw him and you smiled widely. He returned it with a tight smile which quickly disappeared at the sight of Draco. "What is he doing here?", Cedric spoke, bitterness pouring out from his voice.

Before you could speak, Draco spun you around and smashed his lips against yours. He ran his fingers through your hair and cupped your chin softly. Once you both had parted, he sized up to Cedric and snarled at him, "She's my girlfriend."

Cedric's heart broke in half. Then in half again. He looked at you with eyes full of defeat and brushed past the two of you, exiting the tent.

"Draco what on earth was that!" You cried, your eyes brimming with tears.

Draco grabbed your wrists, his face close to yours. "He needed to learn his place. He needed to learn that you belonged to me. And only me. Understand?" By the end of his sentence Draco was shouting, anger radiated off him.

You cower against him, scared of his sudden change of mood. Noticing your reaction, Draco wrapped his hands around you, burring his head into your hair - full of regret from his actions.

Except, you didn't didn't hug him back.
