Today was the day of the second task. Cedric paced the docks, waiting for the signal to dive in - except the tournament was the last thing on his mind. He didn't get a drink of sleep last night, as all he could think about was where Lucy was.

Ginny approached him, and Cedric said, "Hermione and Ron are gone as well. The professors don't do anything about it. They say Hogwarts is the safest place on earth, but about five people have gone missing and nobody cares. What if she's dead Ginny? What if I killed her?"

"Ced, dude, calm down. Where ever she is, she would want you to finish this task. She'll be fine." Ginny said, patting him reassuringly on the shoulder. "I'm going to go find a seat."

Before she could, Cedric grabbed her arm and looked at her with pleading eyes, "Are you sure?"

"Positive."

Just as Ginny had left, the siren alarmed and Cedric Diggory, The Hogwarts Champion, dived into the lagoon.

-

The lagoon was murky. It was almost impossible to see, but somehow Cedric managed. Somehow he managed to fight off the mermaids and mer-people and rescue you from the depths below. Somehow, by some miracle, he was able to reach the top - sacrificing his oxygen to give to you. Even though at some times, Cedric felt like giving up, he knew that rescuing you was the only thing on his mind. He knew he had to find you.

-

Draco sat at the edge of his seat, it had almost been an hour and Cedric was supposed to come up anytime now. He bit his nails nervously and played with his rings, trying to distract himself.

"Look, it's Cedric! He's back!" Someone yelled and Cedric's head popped up from the water along with yours.

The moment your head hit the surface, you regained consciousness. You gasped for air, trying to fill your empty lungs. Draco shot up and ran to the dock, and helped you out of the water and grabbed a towel to wrap you around. Cedric sat next to you and rubbed your arms to keep you warm.

"Gosh, it's-it's so cold." You said as you rested your head on Cedric's shoulder. He wrapped his arm around you.

"We should get you dry before you get sick, Mudblood." Draco said, chuckling, picking you up bridal style and starting to walk towards the castle.

Suddenly, the events of the Yule Ball came flooding back to you.

"Get off me!" You shouted, trying to escape Draco's grip, but he held on tight. You started screaming, pleading to get down. Clawing at his arms, his face - anything you could - you were desperate to be freed. You needed to be alone.

"Let go of me Draco!"

"Fine.", Draco said sourly, and let you go, resulting in you to come crashing down to the cold, hard earth. Your eyes darted to Cedric for his defense, but he just looked at you with one expression plastered on his face.

Disappointment.

"I-I can't be dealing with this right now." You said to them both, shaking.

And with that, you stood up, discarding the towel to the ground and walked back to your dorm.

Hi everyone. So that was the second challenge! Do you think Lucy has been selfish, or do you think the boys deserved it?

As always, yours truly,
