Johnny P.O.V

Johnny is a simple man but, lately he’s been stressed out. Stressed out by a boy named Ten. Although he said he was ok with being friends he was only half lying. He’s told Jaehyun before that he wasn’t into the whole settling down finding love thing but that wasn’t true. 

He was a romantic just like all his other cheesy friends. Ten however was not. He told him before he was perfectly fine with being friends with benefits. If Johnny told him he wanted more than that he could ruin everything. Ten isn’t the type who is interested in one person and only one person. That’s why for now he’s ok with how things are.

“Johnny! Johnny! Look” 

Mark shook the taller males shirt eagerly. 

“What is it?” 

“Paint! Paint!” he exclaimed. 

Johnny followed where his little hands were pointing. There was a face painting stand. He smiled brightly at Mark and grabbed his hand. 

“Well what are we waiting for!” 

Mark decided to go first after taking a few minutes to decide what he wanted. He told the lady. 

“I wanna a watermelon and a sun please”. 

“You got it,” she smiled. 

“Why’d you pick those two?” Johnny asked while he was getting it done. 

“I love watermelon”.

“I get that but why the sun?”

“Haechaniee!” he smiled brightly. 

“I see”. 

Once Mark was finished, Mark pushed him into the chair telling him to get one to.

“You should pick two. Just like me” he said.

“Alright, I’ll do a bear and…” he looked at the pictures, “a bunny”.

After they were done. Johnny knelt down by Mark getting his camera out. 

“I bet your papa would love to see your super cool face paint”.

“Yeah!” 

They took a couple pictures. Johnny finally found the best one and sent it to Taeyong. He was about to take Mark to another booth before a loud voice made them stop. 

“Ha ha, you’ll never catch me!” a high pitch voice spoke before slamming into Johnny’s legs. 

Johnny looked down at the little kid rubbing his head. Mark peaked behind him to see who it was. 

“Haechan?”

Haechan’s eyes lit up upon seeing his best friend. He got up and hugged him. 

“Mark!” 

Johnny remembers Haechan from the parent- kid party Jaehyun invited him too. He thought the boy was very cute and energetic. He reminded him of a little bear or pudu. Why was he out here alone though. 

“Donghyuck you better come back here right now!” 

Johnny saw an angry Doyoung walk in front of him with Jeno and his arms. Haechan hid behind Mark scared to get scolded. 

“Hi Doyoung” Johnny smiled at him. 

“Oh, Johnny” his face softened after seeing him, “What are you doing here?”

“Just hanging out with Mark”. 

Doyoung looked over at Mark, then saw his son hiding behind him. He tried hiding himself even more after seeing Doyoung look at him. 

“Donghyuck come here now”. 

Haechan stepped from behind Mark with his head down. 

“Why would you run away from me! Do you know how worried I was?” he yelled. 

Haechan lifted his head crying. 

“You wouldn’t carry me. You’d rather carry Jeno then me”. 

“Haechan! We’ve been through this before Jeno is younger than you and is tired easily”. 

“You love him more,” Haechan whined. 

Doyoung ruffled his hair, obviously frustrated. It must be tough handling two kids on your own. Johnny stood in front of a crying Haechan. 

“Haechan you know your dad loves you very much. You can’t run away from him just because he won’t carry you. He can’t carry both of you and Jeno is a lot smaller than you. Your big boy right?” Haechan nodded his head, “That’s right. So, you can walk without being carried sometimes” he ruffled Haechan’s hair, “Now you should go apologies to your dad he was super worried about you”.

Haechan smiled hugging Johnny quickly before smashing into his dad. 

“I’m so sorry daddy. I was just upset. I’m sorry for making you sad” he squeezed him tightly. 

“It’s ok baby. You just worried me a lot. I love you very much you know”.

“Yeah, I love you too”. 

Johnny smiled at the two glad that everything was fine now. 

“That being settled, how about we go get some ice cream?” 

“Yay!” the boys cheered.

Doyoung sat down with Johnny Icecream in his hands. The kids were playing in a park that was next to the icecream parlour. 

“Thank you for earlier. He can be a handful sometimes” Doyoung smiled gratefully. 

“Of course”. 

Looking closer at the person sitting next to him Johnny noticed how pretty Doyoung was. Even when he first saw him he thought he was pretty. His eyes were very kind and his smile bright. He had silky black hair that popped out on his pale skin. 

“I like the art,” Doyoung said bringing him out of his thoughts.

“Oh yeah” he chuckled.

He hoped he didn’t notice him staring at him. 

“You know this one kinda reminds me of you” he points at his bunny on his face. 

“It reminds you of me?” he laughs. 

“Yeah. Has anyone told you, you look like a bunny?”

“Some people” he smiled showing his bright teeth. 

Johnny felt good making him smile. For some reason it made him feel happy and warm. They smiled at each other for a few more seconds before Jeno crying caught Doyoungs attention. 

“Donghyuck! Give Jeno back his ice cream cone right now!” 

Johnny smiled and watched as Doyoung frantically ran over to his son. Mark moved over by Johnny watching the family eating his ice cream peacefully. Johnny smiled at them happily. He could get used to hanging out with them.
