Twenty-Three

Jaehyun P.O.V

Jaehyun had just entered his house when his phone started to ring every so loudly. He looked at the caller ID and smiled, it was Taeyong. 

“Hello,” he answered expecting to hear his boyfriends voice.

“Jaejae! Hello? Hello?” 

Why was Mark calling him? He seemed panicked. 

“Mark?”

“I-i-it-it’s papa. H-h-he, I-I don’t know wh-what to d-do” he was crying and Jaehyun couldn’t understand what he was saying. 

“Slow down, everythings ok, tell me what happened”.

“Papa he’s on the floor” he sniffled, “There's blood, Jaejae he’s not moving !”

Jaehyun grabbed his keys again and hurried out of his door. He got into his car before talking to Mark again. 

“Mark I need you to listen to me carefully ok?”

“O-o-ok” he whimpered. 

“Go get something to cover up the papa’s ow-ie to stop the bleeding”. 

“ I did it”.

“Now, I’m gonna need you to hang up the phone so we can call 911”. 

“No!” Mark shouted into the phone, “I don’t want Jaejae to go”

“I know baby, but Papa needs our help”.

“Ok”.

“I promise I’ll get to you as soon as I can, just hang in there”.

He hangs up the phone and quickly dials 911. He gives them Taeyong's address. Seeing as though they were closer to Taeyongs house, he thought it would be better to go straight to the hospital. He was scared. Mark said there was blood and he was unconscious. What the hell happened? He just hoped the injury wasn’t too serious.

As soon as Jaehyun got to the hospital he asked where Taeyongs room was. They told him that no one was allowed to go in there yet and that there was a little boy in the waiting room. He quickly rushed to the waiting room. He saw a nurse trying to comfort Mark who was wailing. 

As soon as Mark saw Jaehyun he wiggled out of the ladies arms and ran towards him. Tears leaking from his little eyes. Jaehyun picked him up into his arms. Doing his best to calm him down.

“It’s ok, It’s ok” he petted his hair, “I’m very proud of you, Mark did a really good job. Everythings ok now”. 

Mark tightened his grip around Jaehyuns neck, still crying. It broke Jaehyuns heart seeing the little boy like this.  

“I-I was so scared”.

“Me too” he admits holding the child tighter. 

After a few moments Marks sobs turned into sniffles. He still wouldn’t let go of Jaehyun though. 

“JaeJae?”

“What is it sweet boy?” Jaehyun continues to stroke his hair. 

“Papa’s going to be fine right?”

“Yes, Papa is going to ok. Your papa's super tough”. 

“He is really tough” Mark yawned, “I’m happy, Jaejae can still become my new daddy” he smiles going to sleep.

Jaehyun smiled and kissed his head. He waited in the waiting room for sometime before a nurse came back. 

“Jung Jaehyun? You are allowed in room 27 to see the patient now” she smiled.

He thanked the lady before carefully shaking Mark awake. He rubbed his little eyes, smiling at Jaehyun. 

“Can we go see Papa now?”

“Yep”.

He took Mark's little hand into his own, guiding him to the room the lady told them to go. They opened the door and saw Taeyong laying on the bed. He had stitches across his stomach and his eyes were baggy. Jaehyun thought he still looked beautiful though. 

Mark let go of his hand and ran to his Papa. He climbed on one of the chairs next to his bed and wrapped his arms around his neck careful not to press his stomach. 

“Papa, I was so scared”.

“I’m so sorry you had to see papa like that baby” he kissed his head, hugging him again. 

Taeyongs eyes met with Jaehyuns laced with worry. 

“Jae-”

Jaehyun didn’t let him finish, instead placed a kiss on his lips. 

“You scared me too”. 

He took Taeyongs hand as he sat down in the other chair. Looking at him seriously. 

“Now, what happened?”
