"Joon...Joonie please-" a broken sob reached Taehyung's ears, and he knew the person, this Mr. Jeon, was crying.

He didn't need to enter the room to witness how much of a wreck, Mr. Jeon, had become. Tae could already imagine the red eyes, the trembling lips, the tear stained cheeks and sniffles that would follow.

At this distance, he could smell the heightened levels of distress cloaking the omega, and his scent.

"Mr. Jeon...-" the doctor entered the room, ignoring Taehyung's presence. He caught the look on the doctor's face - one of concern and slight panic. He could understand the concern and worrying for the crying Mr. Jeon, but why panic?

Was the doctor scared of Mr. Jeon?

"Mr. Jeon, please calm down. I-"

"Calm down!? You want me to calm down?!" Mr. Jeon's voice turned shrill and hysterical.

"H-How can you tell me to calm down! That's my husband! Lying dead on that bed!"

"How can I-" his voice was drowned out in a fresh wave of sobs, and the guilt in Taehyung's heart, increased another tenfold.

Husband...Jeon Namjoon had a family?

Not only was Taehyung responsible for a man's death, he was also responsible for breaking apart his family.

He saw the marriage contract, still in his hand, as a death sentence, but now, more then ever, Taehyung knew the truth - he deserved the hate thrown his way. He deserved whatever this contracted marriage entitled, and more.

He deserved to suffer for what he had done. He deserved the sadness and torture coming his way.

"I-I should have been there...I should have been the one in that car! H-How am I going to live without Joon?"

"Mr. Jeon, please calm down. Given your current health condition, this much stress could have adverse effect on your ba-" the doctor said, but was cut off by Mr. Jeon.

"I-I don't care! I just...I-I want my Joonie back! Please give me, my Joonie back!" he pleaded, and Taehyung couldn't stand to eavesdrop anymore.

The doctor hadn't completed his sentence, but Taehyung could guess what he was trying to say.

Not only had he robbed Mr. Jeon of his mate, he had also made an unborn child, lose his/her father and for that there was no forgiveness. No one could forgive Taehyung, not even himself, for what had happened.

His mistake had taken a life, and destroyed lives of others, connected to this man, this Mr. Jeon Namjoon.

Taehyung dragged his feet through the crowded hallway, his mind, miles away.

He had always believed that things happened for a reason, and everything happening to him, was part of a large scheme, a written destiny already in action.

But this...what was the point of this accident? Why take Mr. Jeon Namjoon's life, instead of his?

If Taehyung had lost his life instead of Namjoon, his family wouldn't have been destroyed.

If it had been Taehyung, his friends and family would have mourned his lose, but that recently widowed omega, and his child, would have led a happy life.

They would still have Jeon Namjoon by their side...right?

Before he could drown himself in these torturous thoughts more, the door to room number B-12, appeared before him.

Tae had no clue how his feet had found their way to this place, but now that he was here, a silver of a fear crawled up his spine.

His first encounter with Namjoon's younger brother had been like a scene out of the horror movie.

The alpha's pheromones had been all over the place - the rage, the oppression and the murderous intent present in the air, had sent Taehyung's newly transplanted heart, into a state of panic. Luckily for him, the kind doctor who had operated on him - Mr. Park Bogum, had been present, and had advised the young alpha against any kind of communication that might harm Tae.

The conversation they had had, while Taehyung lay on the bed, with bandages covering most of his chest - was more of low growling and hatred spewed towards him.

Jeon Jungkook, the deceased alpha's younger brother, had made it clear, what he wanted from Taehyung.

Two hours after Taehyung had gotten out of surgery, Jungkook had found him, with another member of his pack, a beta, by his side. He had thrown the copy of the contract marriage on the table beside him, warning Taehyung to not test his patience.

At first, Taehyung hadn't understood what was happening.

He had just gained conscious, and Jimin and he had come to the realization of his new heart, and that the guy he was in car with, had died. The shock had been great, but nothing had prepared him for the hatred he saw in Jeon Jungkook's eyes.

He stood over Tae's bed, eyes red and lips curled into a snarl, and hands shaking with barely contained anger.

As an unmated omega, Taehyung found it hard, not to submit to the angered alpha. Twice he had to stop the desire to bare his throat at Jeon Jungkook, because of how restless and frustrated the alpha appeared.

To make matters worse, Jimin wasn't beside him. And except for the doctor, the others in his room, were from Jungkook's pack. If he had attempted to hurt Tae, he knew the doctor wouldn't have been able to stop him.

However, by some miracle, Jungkook had managed to control his blood-thirst and threw the contract paper at Tae, before walking out.

It was the Beta of his pack, Min Yoongi, who had explained the terms and condition of their contract marriage, and insisted he agree to it, and avoid facing Jungkook's anger head-on.

A part of Taehyung, the stubborn side he had gotten from his grandmother and her belief of never bowing down to anyone other then one's mate, that side wanted to resist and brush off Jungkook's threats.

But the sensible side, the part of Taehyung who was aware of the Jeons background, and the fact that their pack controlled the city, this part knew that Jungkook meant business. He would make Taehyung's life hell, along with Jimin's and Hoseok's and even his grandmother would be caught in this crossfire, if he were to refuse this marriage.

He had no idea, why Jungkook had proposed a contract marriage instead of imprisonment. But when he had told Jimin about it, the omega had understood the implications of it all, immediately.

"Imprisoning you, would be a light punishment in his eyes." Jimin had said.

"Instead, tying you down with a marriage contract, in which he had full control of your existence, the way you walked, talked and behaved, would seem as a more fitting punishment."

The loud creaking of the door, caused Tae to take a step back, his eyes widening, when he saw who had opened the door to the room - B12.

"He's waiting for you." Min Yoongi said, before stepping back and beckoning for Tae to enter.

For a second, Taehyung's feet stayed glued to the floor, refusing to go inside, and face the demon.

But he willed himself to move, willed himself to face his punishment head-on.

He had to go through this, he needed to do this.

Because Taehyung deserved it...he deserved it all.
